Which songs are out on sunday?

The only big one on the release schedule is the Calvin Harris/Ne-Yo song, which I think is a strong contender for #1. It seems everything Ne-Yo does goes to #1. :drama: And Calvin has certainly increased in popularity after We Found Love imo.

Calvin Harris might end up being a bit "everywhere" soon, as I think his upcoming songs with Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Cheryl Cole will probably end up all in the top 40 at the same time.

It's not his fault though, remember, haha. Just a decision on behalf of the record labels to release tracks that were produced by him. We could have four Calvin Harris produced tracks in the top 40 at one point too - Scissor Sister's new single 'Only the Horses' is produced by Harris too.

As for next week's chart - I think 'Let's Go' will undoubtedly debut inside the top three - but I thought 'Can't Say No' would debut at #1; and now he's looking at getting #2 officially (and is down to #3 on iTunes). I think Harris will face tough competition from Carly Rae Jepsen next week - and there's always the possibility that fun. may keep climbing (though I don't think it'll reach #1 next week). I like the Calvin Harris tune, but it'd be quite nice to have 'Call Me Maybe' spend a fourth week at number-one, these long-running #1s don't come around often, so let's enjoy them.

Coincidentally, I heard a new Ne-Yo song on the radio today (Choice FM). I really like it, but I'm not sure if it'll be a hit.

I agree though, Carly Rae Jepsen is probably still selling a lot, so Calvin might not be able to make it to #1.

The Calvin Harris/Ne-yo song is on a new pepsi advert.

Calvin Harris even appears at 0:08

I've predicted that Calvin would get to #1 since i saw it on that advert.

I can't see Carly getting a fourth week, but then its success has surprised me so Much already!

I realized Calvin hasn't got a music video for that song yet. So it might hinder its first week sales, but give it more longevity. I'm sure it'll debut in the top 5 at least though, possibly even #1.

Drake at #32! I can't believe this song has been so successful. Although I do have my doubts as to whether Drake can get a top 40 hit ever again. I mean, if Headlines couldn't make it, I really don't know what can. I guess he needs more radio airplay. Both his top 40 hits were heavily supported by Capital. Drake is in my city tonight!!!! And Nicki is in London at the moment aswell. We just need to get Lil Wayne over here now.

Sean Paul back in the top 10, knocking out Usher.

I don't think Calvin will go to #1, it doesn't even have a music video yet does it?

Usher knocked out of the top 10 by Sean Paul? :( On the upside that means Sean is back in, great to see it holding up well after all, that drop to #6 in week 4 didn't look great.

I'm rooting for Carly to get a fourth week at #1. We seriously need one of these 10 week #1 songs. It's been forever since we have one.
Could somebody help discover why Northern Irish band The Adventures are up to #460 on the iTunes chart with Broken Land? Has it been used in an advert or TV show for something?

It should be 'We Are Young'! Not Carly :P I'm hoping it doesn't beat Rihanna's 6 weeks at the top with 'We Found Love'.

And apparently it's managed to climb so much just from ONE play on Chris Evans' radio show. If true, that's really inspiring.

Yeah, that's impressive. Sometimes I hear songs played on Radio 1 and they don't even enter the top 1000 when I check.

Lets Go I think will go straight to #1. I wonder where the video is though? Its probably going to be around top 10 for a long while.

Also End Of Time being officially released, but its out of top 40 on iTunes and back to 99p :( So #39 peak looking likely. Unless the rumours are true about a real video for it being premiered on Sunday?? That would be epic, such a TUNE.

I don't know! Basically my phone just has a massive list of of them. It just has the title of each station, no information about them. But when I listen to them loads of them play songs that aren't well known in this country, and the presenters speak in a different language that I can't tell. Some of the radio stations from there are from the US though. I can't tell the difference between them, so I usually just listen until the station starts playing a song that I don't like, then I move on to the next station.

Which phone do you have and how do you get the stations (is it via the Internet, or an app?)

Marina & The Diamonds on Graham Norton show next week :cheer:

We're from the same city! :D

Yes for Sean Paul! What an absolute tune

Also brilliant that Marina is on GN next week (although it would have made sense to be on this week performing Primadonna!)

On the topic of Sean Paul pushing Usher out of the top 10 - it doesn't really change anything.

Chart Update (Wednesday + Friday)

09 Sean Paul

10 Marina and the Diamonds

11 Usher

12 Justin Bieber

^ If this is what the chart is looking like currently - Sean Paul is definitely only falling 06-09. The #10 spot could go to any of the remaining three contenders, I'm hoping by some miracle that Marina and the Diamonds can hold on - a #11 peak would just be a real slap in the face.
