Better chart run that JLS' 'Proud' at least - which was 06-20-46-xx, correct?

It's a shame it didn't hang around for longer, I think it's one of the most original tracks in the top 40 - really excited to see what else features on the film soundtrack and whether this hype-generating 'iLL Manors' will actually be any good.

End Credits made the year-end top 200 last year didn't it? :o Pretty amazing.

It was in the year end top 200 for each of the past three years despite not having even gone gold yet

This entered the same week as Next To Me one place higher, and now NTM is probably in the top 15

That's impressive. I doubt it'll manage a 4th year though, unless it becomes the new Bring Me to Life and gets lots of iTunes discounts.

I can't wait until R.I.P is released. I hope it goes to #1, I love it.

DJ Fresh's next song is okay, but I'm still not sure if I love it or not. I'll have to give it more time I guess.

The chart run for this song doesn't suit it's "classic" stature. Although it's pretty much a staple inside the top 300 on iTunes so it's top 200/300 chart run would be far more appealing.

God yes! Goodbye LMFAO. Hope you have no more hits, ever. I honestly thought this would be a long runner, like 'Sexy & I Know It', but with a less impressive peak at #14 or something.

EDIT: Bring on Rita's debut solo single 'R.I.P.'. Craps all over HRN.

How is this still at #31? Considering it has been as low as mid-80s on iTunes and no higher than mid-50s this week I'm very surprised!

Looks like me thinking it was going to be this week's biggest faller ended up being a stupid idea :(

For some reason I thought this was set to drop straight out - nice to see it comfortably top 40 again :D Hope it can stay in for a couple more weeks.

John Legend already in the top 30 unless Reggie lied about it being in the chart already.

You have to bear in mind how fast the chart moved in 2001, that was a good enough run for the time, and it was always a radio staple.

As the very first winner of the AMERICAN IDOL television show competition, Kelly Clarkson was inevitably pegged as little more than a manufactured pop commodity. The surprisingly versatile singer managed to survive against expectations, however, and released one of the most infectious singles of 2005, "Since U Been Gone." The success of the song not only endeared Clarkson to a tremendously diverse cross-section of the music listening population, it altered her status from mere contest winner to genuine pop sensation and pointed to a career worth following. - HMV

Album Discussion Here

You have to bear in mind how fast the chart moved in 2001, that was a good enough run for the time, and it was always a radio staple.

I think also part of what has contributed to its classic status was its success in the US. It ranked 4th in their year-end charts. I know it's a different country, but in this day and age of the Internet, etc. I think that's part of the reason. Drops of Jupiter probably has been used in lots of American films and TV shows, for example, due to how massive it was there, and people in the UK will watch those too and be reminded of the song every now and then (that's just an example, there's other things than just American movies which might have contributed to its legacy).

We finally have an album title for Alexandra! 'Heartbreak On Hold'. I quite like it. It sounds more like a song title than an album title but that seem to apply to lots of albums recently.
Have a feeling this will be the last week in the top 40 for 'Elephant'. Oh well, it hasn't done TOO badly and hopefully LIG will be much bigger.
