Jake Quickeden

Over 28's:

Carolynne Poole

Melanie Masson

Being on the outside for the first time (not really paying attention at all this year) really does drive home how much of a tired show it is that just needs to stop now.

Lucy Spraggan literally makes me die inside every time I see her face. I watched yesterday's bootcamp in the hope that it would be vaguely interesting (bootcamp was always my fave bit) but hated pretty much everyone on my screen. I think the one person that I liked (with about 5 seconds of airtime) didn't seem to get through. Oh well.

I doubt Rylan will get through because Nicole won't get the whole Essex thing.

I actually hate James Arthur. What a moody, feel-sorry-for-me waste of space. Glad the "I have a kid" guy didn't get through so we have one less sob story to worry about.

There are 7 bands now in the Louis group category, Rough Copy have quit, no sad loss there.

The new additions are Triple J (but known as Union J now with a member addition), and the other band Times Red

After reading that, I didn't realize Steph in Poisonous Twins, was the one that got voted out of Big Brother 1st a few years back, it seams that The Sun (and also X Factor have glossed over) she got chucked out of Pop Stars: The Rivals as well for lying about her age and being too young to be on the show.

Not the strongest year

Who I want:

Boys: Nathan Fagan-Gayle, Adam Burridge, Jake Quickenden

Girls: Ella Henderson, Jade Ellis, Lucy Spraggan

Over 28's: Carolynne Poole, Melanie Masson, Kye Sones

Groups: MK1, Union J, Mitsotu

Not even a massive fan of Lucy Spraggan, but was even less keen on the other girls. Leanne Robinson for example, is very good, but realistically I'm not sure how well she would do on the show especially considering the lack of air time

and I have to admit I went with Jake Quickenden for other obvious reasons

I want:

Boys: Nathan Fagan-Gayle, Adam Burridge, James Arthur

Girls: Ella Henderson, Jade Ellis, Lucy Spraggan

Ella seems to be this year's Janet Devlin

Over 28's: Carolynne Poole, Kye Sones should be defintely through, the 3rd I really don't know.

Groups: MK1, Union J, Mitsotu

What I don't understand with the groups is why there is only one "girlband" in the category after one won last year... You'd have thought the category would be full of them. Bizarre for the producers to add a reject with minimal airtime into Triple J, but there are far too many three-piece boybands anyway. I don't even like any of the groups this year, but I'm very pleased that the annoying Rough Copy are no longer in it!

My favourite last night was Ella. I liked her original audition, but found it very overrated by the judges, but she made "Believe" sound so beautiful. I'm pleased Jade Ellis got another chance (and hope those two make it through to the live shows). I'm not that bothered about the third place, as long as it's not Lucy Spraggan, who cannot sing at all

Kye and Carolynne would be my choices for the overs - the whole group is actually very good, but some of them annoy me a bit (Melanie and Christopher). I can't remember Nicola's audition, but she was great on the first night of bootcamp so she could be good (but probably not go far in the competition).

Some very overrated/bizarre choices from the boys. I'd never seen Nathan Fagle-Gayle before so was confused as to why they'd put him through... Adam Burridge and Jake Quickenden were my favourites (although the latter seems to be The X Factor response to The Voice UK's Max Milner... He even sang the same version as one of his performances on last night's show! Jahmene is very overrated and Rylan is just plain awful. I wouldn't be bothered out of Jahmene and James Arthur for the last spot though.

I just skimmed through the bootcamp episode after watching none of the auditions (first one aside), so I have no idea who any of these people aside from their names, and therefore I'm reduced to judging them by how attractive they are (not if they are male, I couldn't recall one of the male contestants names without looking above or something to be perfectly honest)

If I watch judges houses in full I think I'll have more of an informed idea... but for now Carolynne and those twins are standing out, I have the feeling this isn't on singing talent though - shallowness is all you have to go on when trying to quickly get up to speed by only watching the final 20 minutes of Sunday's episode in full to get a list of those who went through. Probably the contestant I've seen the most of is Lucy and I don't think I was too much of a fan of her voice.

I want these through:

Boys Jake Quickenden, Adam Burridge & Nathan Fagan-Gayle.

Girls Jade Ellis, Leanne Robinson & Ella Henderson.

Over 28s Melanie Masson, Carolynne Poole & Kye Sones.

Groups Union J, GMD3 & Times Red (Just for a battle of the boy bands... I don't actually like GMD3 all that much.)

I've resigned myself to the fact that Jahmene & James will chosen from the Boys, but I dislike both. I fear Rylan being chosen as well, but I hope Nicole has better judgement than that.

I actually can't stand Mitsotu, MK1 or Duke. :drama: All seemed incredibly cheesy to me.

For me it's all about the Girls & Over 28s this year, both very strong categories - so long as they choose wisely. Lucy Spraggan's talent is quite restricted - she's good at what she does, granted, but I really can't see how she'd translate well in X Factor live shows. Christopher Maloney is incredibly annoying, and I see no niche for him in the music world.

Who I want:

Boys: I seriously couldn't care, they all blend into one for me, the weakest category for me this year

Girls: Ella Henderson (), Leanne Robinson, Amy Mottram

Overs: Carolynne Poole, Kye Sones, Melanie Masson

Groups: GMD3, MK1 (not fussed with any others)

After reading that, I didn't realize Steph in Poisonous Twins, was the one that got voted out of Big Brother 1st a few years back, it seams that The Sun (and also X Factor have glossed over) she got chucked out of Pop Stars: The Rivals as well for lying about her age and being too young to be on the show.

Oh yeah! Can't believe I didn't recognise her. She had to pretend to be married to Mario or something!

Only Carolynne and Ella are holding my interest. Last year's bunch were average too but there were at least 3 or 4 in each category I was interested in when it got to Judges Houses. Loved most of the overs last year but Louis Walsh happened.
If Rylan Clarke gets picked I shall chuck my TV out of the window.

Have you chucked your TV out yet - But I agree he's the worst of all the finalists - Another Johnny Robinson or Wagner - at least Louis can't pass him through from judges houses

This week is the first time i've watched since the first of the auditions shows.

I boycotted them for only showing 5 complete auditions in a one hour show. All those back stories bore me to death.

I wish they'd go back to the old system - just the judges & auditionees.

Who I want -

Boys:

Jake Quickenden

Nathan Gayle

Jahmene Douglas

Girls:

Lucy Spraggen

Ella Henderson

Leanne Robinson

Over 28s:

Carolynne Poole

Melanie Masson

Kye Sones

Groups:

Times Red

Mitsotu

Duke

What I think will happen -

Boys: James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Rylan Clark

Girls: Jade Ellis, Amy Mottram and Lucy Spraggen

Over 28s: Melanie Masson, Kye Sones and Christopher Maloney

Groups: GMD3, Poisonous Twins & MK1

I don't think many that I want in are going to make it. I don't think Louis will pick any of my faves

I hope Rylan does not get through, I can just see it happening though. They always put someone through who has had questionable auditions all the way through.
I don't think Rylan is half as bad as people seem to make him out to be. Very annoying and overly gay/camp? Yes. But I think he can actually, genuinely sing. He's not "amazing" but he's not exactly bad either.

Nice to see this year, there are LITERALLY no "joke/novelty acts". Ok you can argue that Rylan could become a novelty act. Even better for Louis' group. He has to take it seriously this year with the category and acts he has been given, they're all potentially very good. Could he bring another win to the groups this year? Doubtful I know.

But I genuinely cannot pick a favourite out this year. I'm struggling to remember who majority of them are. That Jahmene guy, he is just another Joe Mcelderry really, so maybe he'll go far (far too shouty/whiny for me).

Also GMD3 or whatever they're called, the new 911? ;P The lead singer of that group reminds me of the lead singer from 911 both looks wise and vocally. (Maybe I'm alone in that! ha)
