July 5, 20196 yr Erotica is one of her worst albums for me. I appreciate it but I don’t really enjoy listening to it. I admit it’s better than MDNA but everything else she’s done even the Evita soundtrack is better for me. I don’t know what it is what makes me not go back to it much but meh it’s just not for me I guess. I didn’t mind her Eurovision performance. Future is one of the better songs from Madame X. Miles Away is a BOP as is Candy Shop. 2000’s Madonna is the best Madonna in general (even including Hard Candy!) Edited July 5, 20196 yr by Jordan Lee
July 5, 20196 yr My #1 unpopular opinion would be that I really don't rate 'Jump'! It's something of a fan fave, but it's never really done anything for me :cry: Pretty sure that 'Rain' would be in my personal Top 10 Madonna songs... I feel like not many others would rate it that highly!
July 5, 20196 yr The man one that comes to my mind is that Bedtime Stories is one of my top Madonna albums. So underrated. Hard Candy may be very trend-chasing but it's by no means a bad album. It's well-produced and she seems to embrace her lower vocal, unlike MDNA which is a mess sound-wise and her vocal is pitched far too high.

Better vocal editing and better mastering would have made a big difference to the album quality. I'd also have given the album better vision, centring it around her divorce more and her conflicting feelings about it. Songs like 'I f***ed Up' and 'Best Friend' should be moved to the main edition to compliment the "f*** him" and "I'm just gonna party" songs. I'm also a fan of 'Masterpiece', which unfortunately gets a fair bit of hate, so I'll have that as one of my unpopular opinions as well.
July 5, 20196 yr Everything she released inbetween Beautiful Stranger and Hung Up was crap! Cherish is one of the most joyous pop songs ever. Celebration (the song) is absolutely amazing, the Benny Benassi remix however was a complete bore. Don’t tell me you don’t like Don’t Tell Me! :(
