Carly Rae Jepsen to again upset the younger female fans of another teen singer by beating Conor to #1 after beating the Bieber fanbase last week
'Sorry For Party Rocking' hasn't done anywhere near as well as its initial fast climb suggested. I wonder if the first single from album 3 will do well? Unless they change their style quite a lot I don't think it will.
Oh dear. What a change of tone/quality...

Yeah. :drama:

I find the chorus of both songs really catchy though, obviously the verses in Plan B's are much, much better.

Aaaaah I've missed a bit but so far the chart is EXCELLENT. Woo for Hot Right Now and Ill Manors hanging on and the drop for Sorry For Party Rocking pleases me too.

I don't think they'll mind that much, as they probably LOVE "Call Me Maybe"

36  (from 30) Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) [D]

Label: RCA Records Label

As the very first winner of the AMERICAN IDOL television show competition, Kelly Clarkson was inevitably pegged as little more than a manufactured pop commodity. The surprisingly versatile singer managed to survive against expectations, however, and released one of the most infectious singles of 2005, "Since U Been Gone." The success of the song not only endeared Clarkson to a tremendously diverse cross-section of the music listening population, it altered her status from mere contest winner to genuine pop sensation and pointed to a career worth following. - HMV

You got there before I did. :P

Yeah, I think if a song like Party Rock Anthem was released now it would sell 500,000 rather than 1,000,000 imo.

I think they can adapt though. The songs Redfoo was doing 15 years ago were closer to Plan B's song than to Sorry for Party Rocking.

Album Discussion Here

Nice to see Kelly have another week in the top 40. Was hoping the drop wouldn't be as big as it was, but oh well. It should hopefully hang onto a position in the top 40 next week before leaving. :)
OUCH at the drop for this. Odd to think that it looks likely to sell far less than "Let The Sun Shine" when it seems like far more of an 'event' song.
