Cover Drive  to #5

Not bad AT ALL, nice pop song... much better than Twilight in my opinion.

The Saturdays won't get number 1, it's just not possible. The universe would implode and topple into the pits of hell if such an unnatural thing were to occur.

To get a #1 you need at least 70k to 80k on its first week or higher the Saturdays are not that capable of selling that amount of Sales on the week of a single release, I've yet to see them selling more than 45k (first week sales), so they are out of the loop most definitely. Its hardly rocket science to work it out.

All Fired Up opened on 69K and Missing You opened on 57K (I think), but yeah, there's no way they'll be #1. Their releases are FAR too frontloaded.

I wouldn't rule out Pitbull with his new single out 21 May, its the theme tune to the new Men In Black 3 movie.

And someone mentioned Alexandra Burke if Elephant didn't get there I can't see her new track doing her any favours, its a bit repetitive, for my liking. Rihanna don't know, it might just scrape top 10, she tends to have the odd track of getting nowhere, plus its probably her 222 single from TTT.

Plus around 28 May/2 June/9 June we shall have the winner of the Voice.

Pitbull has NO chance, it uses a nice sample but the song itself is barely even catchy, it's out in three weeks and hasn't had any airplay or support. Rihanna's single is the fourth single from Talk That Talk, the Loud era finished ages ago.

Don't forget Loreen's Euphoria :magic:

I'm still going to predict the next big #1 will be 'Dance Again' by Jennifer Lopez. Wishful thinking but it's such a brilliant pop song.

I hope it's brought forward a week otherwise it goes up against The Wanted who will probably get there instead (and rapidly fall out of the top 40 again within 6 weeks).

I wonder how much of a boost Lana will get from her terrible performance on "The Voice". I think she's an amazing artist, but that performance was awful.

You Da One missed the top 15, then Talk That Talk went to #25 so I can't see a FOURTH single making #1 for Rihanna.

Interested to see how far Cover Drive can climb. They've had very little hype on here and have been completely overshadowed by Tulisa.

I think with 30 Days, they have gone with something that marries their two most popular singles - Higher & All Fired Up. I, for one, like it. It will be Top 10, I doubt Top 3.

This is true, it's getting nearly 10m viewers so surely around 80k will buy the single (that's enough for #1 on a normal week tbh), if not more.

1. Young - Tulisa

4. Sparks - Cover Drive

34. Out the Blue (Radio Edit) - Sub Focus

46. Daydreamer (Radio Edit) - Flux Pavilion

67. Silhouettes (Original Radio Edit) - Avicii

111. Who Am I (Radio Edit) - Starboy Nathan

134. Better Than You - Heather Peace

207. Out the Blue (Club Mix) - Sub Focus

221. Yeah - Kozzie

223. Lost & Found - Lianne La Havas

293. Daydreamer (Extended Version) - Flux Pavilion

319. Lightning Bolt - Jake Bugg

370. Marley's Chains - Honey Ryder

It annoys me how the two Rihanna songs I actually like don't go top 10. I found WFL very over-hyped and over-played which made me dislike the song. YDA was a pretty good R&B song, very catchy. And I'm assuming TTT would have been a top 20 hit if it had a video. And I agree with you, Rihanna's next single will definitely not go #1, maybe top 5.

Is there even going to be a winner's single?

OOPS, I meant TTT, I've lost count how many albums she's had in her career.

Is there even going to be a winner's single?

I've not read anything about it - it's a £100,000 prize + a recording contract with Universal Republic.

36. Lana Del Rey 'Blue Jeans (Remastered)'

I thought it was an alright performance actually, a lot better than the performance of 'Video Games' live in American that she's become so infamous for. I say it was alright, but it was poor when you put it next to the performances from Jaz, Ruth and Tyler last night - it should be them in her position.

i never knew the copper from lip service was a singer!!!
