I'm still shocked 'Express Yourself' is at #16. Suprised it's not went into free-fall yet.

What has THIS to do with the Saturdays? PLEASE LEAVE THIS THREAD! :D

In all seriousness when/if they make the top 10 I will change the sub heading! :P

Hopefully Scissor's will get top 40 with 'Only The Horses' such a good song from them. Not too bothered about their previous output but I can fully get on board with this one

I agree wholeheartedly. Let's fill this thread with Scissor Sisters talk. And I'm being serious. I'm ecstatic that it's actually entered the top 100, all hope is not lost. One of their best lead singles actually.

Not too far to go now, better get ready to change it! :D

And I haven't commented on it before, but great to see Wretch doing so well already! It's still beyond me why he released Forgiveness instead Of Hush Little Baby.

I like Forgiveness a lot as well, but Hush Little Baby so good and so commercial at the same time. It also sounds like a song that could really sell an album, so would have been perfect for a November release.

Top 20 looking reasonably certain for D'banj. Hopefully top 10 now :D Shocked that Scissor Sisters could go top 40 before The Voice, maybe another top 20 hit for them? Good progress for Skepta. Grab that top 100/200 smash Mark & Katy/Delilah :P

EDIT: Beaten to it. Eh. Scissor Sisters EP actually climbing from debut and overtaking D'banj?!

Good to see Mark and Katy in the top 100. There isn't a video for it, is there?

And get that top 200 smash Delilah! Does anyone remember where Love You So was at this point?

I was reading this interview of him, and he said he wanted to release Forgiveness as a single because it's similar to a song he did before he got a record deal, which is a favourite with his fanbase.

I was also surprised he didn't use Hush Little Baby back then, but really, Don't Go was hardly commercial either, and that song did really well. I bet Wretch 32 must've been so surprised at that going to #1, he probably thought if he ever got a #1 it would've been with Unorthodox.

Sometimes if it's a collaboration, they're not allowed to release that song until both labels are happy just incase that label has plans for their artist or whatever. I imagine because it's Ed Sheeran, that was the problem, releasing it now seems to be good enough as it seems quite quiet on Ed's part at the moment, despite a video for 'Small Bump' surfacing.

I had never thought of that before, but it definitely makes sense! Especially since Ed was smashing with Lego House back in November and, like you already said, it's pretty quiet around him at the moment.

And even though Forgiveness wasn't the best choice. I like the fact he did release it for his fanbase and went back to his roots, like Eric mentioned. It is an amazing song!

Looking at the charts, I'm actually shocked that Melanie C is as high as #69 with a new song! I didn't even know she had new music coming out. How is it doing so well? Especially after the flop of her latest album and singles.

And get that top 200 smash Delilah! Does anyone remember where Love You So was at this point?

It was at #317 at 1:30, so I doubt it was much higher at this point. I'm still annoyed "Breathe" is doing so badly, but it's no surprise to anybody I guess.

Seven pages in already - it can only be a new Saturdays single out :P to give my two cents, they've done a handful of good songs like Higher, Up & Ego, but most of it has been sub-par pop that jumps bandwagons frequently

I'm in two minds about that Oliver Twist song, I think its a bit repetitive but it at least sounds different

Pixie Lott & Jason Derulo - Coming Home springs to mind!

Am I okay to panic about Scissor Sisters being so low  :(

They're on the Voice tonight, so should get a boost :)

They're doing about as well as I expected at the moment. I expect they'll be just outside the top 30 before The Voice.
