The arguments we will no longer have because of this thread WE WILL NOT MISS. :D

NON NUMBER ONE- GOOD FEELING- FLO RIDA

NEW PEAK POSITION: 2

Losing out by just under 2k to Coldplay, Flo is the first victim of 2012. The song actually had amaxing longevity in the real charts so probably did deserve its real life No 1 spot but can't replicate here, mind you it was ALMOST Coldplay (again)!

NON NUMBER ONE- TWILIGHT- COVER DRIVE

NEW PEAK POSITION:4

Surely there can be little surprise on this one?! A slide from 1-6-7 meant it was over before it began, squashed on both sides of its debut by hits from Gotye, David Guetta and a fading Jessie J.

NON NUMBER ONE- HOT RIGHT NOW- DJ Fresh Featuring Rita Ora

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b9/HotRightNow.jpg

NEW PEAK POSITION: 2

This one might surprise slightly more though. Opening with 127k in its first week, that figure remained one of 19 tracks to sell more than 100k at No 1 during the year. It was however rather quicker to trail off and ended up playing second fiddle to the more consistent Gotye in this chart....

Good Feeling and Hot Right Now were both massive chart hits to be fair, and What's My Name? Twilight was one of the best #1s of the year imo.
Those were hardly surprises and won't be missed...
Not too surprised about the non number ones so far, even Hot Right Now when you look at its chart run only.

Oh no poor Twilight although that was an inevitability. I'm just glad it made #1 in the actual world.

Seems Gotye is trashing everything around here (as expected).

I suppose this thread is the only reason I'm glad Alyssa didn't make #1.

I think the same about Girls Aloud as well, they would both would have had awful chart runs and sales for a number 1.
