With all the different versions and such a clear lead at number 1 Gary should at the very lowest have 100,000 sales this week im hoping.

Hopefully we'll get some figures from the midweek reports later this week. I'm thinking it'll do ~150k, possibly more.

Sing #1 and #7 now, may be #1 and #2 by tomorrow?

Domino  #41

The A Team  #63

I Gotta Feeling  #93

Unless he SEVERELY tails off by the end of the week I'd now be quite surprised if Gary doesn't at least get close to 150k! Just hoping for a big drop next week to make this #1 somewhat worthwhile. (And like I've said, it wouldn't be the worst #1 of the year so far! Just the thrid one that hasn't made my personal chart, with most of the others having made my top 10, a generally pretty great year for #1s so far).

This week seem to be pretty awful though with DJ Fresh and Nelly underperforming, Sing doing so well and Need You Now/Moves Like Jagger back on the climb. The cherry on the shit cake would be Bieber's next promo single knocking Coldplay/Rihanna out of the top 10 tomorrow - let's not make that happen please.

On the bright side, Can You Blow My could go top 20 if they don't get deleted :P And hey, we've got The A Team back in the top 100 to help it crawl towards the million mark.

I would be delighted with 150,000 plus but dont wana get my hopes up, i think its almost a cert its a double number 1 for Gary this week, hopefully the ep version can manage 40k plus again this week and eventually pass 100,000 as i dont want Gary having the lowest selling number 1 in recent years. If he does 40k again this week though he should easily pass previous number 1's from Paul Weller, Marina and the Diamonds and Jack White,

Even with last weeks sales Gary is only about 1k behind marina and the diamonds so i shouldnt need to worry really

Gary Barlow is gonna obliterate the charts this week

Yes we know, you don't have to harp on about it.

Get in Gary! Don't understand where this hate comes from..he is one of our most successful singer songwriters, sold 45 millions records with Take That, 8 number 1 albums, 13 number 1 singles and has broken so many tour and sales records i can't even begin to list.

On a week where we are celebrating Britain lets get behind one of our own, Id much rather have a song that was written with meaning, emotion and thought being it such as Sing rather than an American over produced autotuned ramble etc

Feeling very patriotic right now after watching that magnificent concert! Congrats to Gary on that as well!

Gary is clearly after a Knighthood. I'm sure that, (eventually), he'll get one.

But, I don't care what anyone says, the 'Sing' Single is one of the most awful,

vacuous, flimsy, pieces of tripe, that has ever reached No.1.

Hopefully it will have a huge drop in Sales, once the Jubilee Celebrations

die down. A big drop from No.1 would be a nice treat for Music lovers.....

I give to 3rd World Charities a lot - throughout the Year. I don't need to

buy garbage Singles to contribute....

And those who go on about Gary's achievements, should realise, that most of his

Hits & Songs have not reached the Top 10 in most of Europe etc. It is only the

UK & Ireland, where he has had consistent success. He, is not in the same League

as The Beatles, Queen, Rolling Stones, Madonna, ABBA etc. He is just a British Isles

'phenomenon' really. (That goes for Take That, too).

I still think of What's My Name? whenever I see that number.

Knowing you I'm suprised you don't think of the previous night!

Gosh, a lot has happened since I last checked here.

Can You Blow My up to #14! Great to see Nelly Furtado and Dot Rotten still doing so well.

I'm not really a fan of Need You Now (as everybody probably knows ). But it's another one of those types of songs I was talking about the other day, that becomes a classic despite poor UK chart performance because of how popular it was in the US.

The new Justin Bieber/Ludacris song at #73 already. I think his previous promo single narrowly missed out on going top 10 on iTunes, but I think this one will since it has more hype around it, and Ludacris has a fanbase too.

I would like to see Everybody in Love by JLS re-enter the chart. That song has grown on me (took a few years ).

Jubilee:

Need You Now  #35

Domino  #40

Superstition  #50

The A Team  #61

It Must Be Love  #70

Isnt She Lovely  #100

LOL are you for real?!! Back for Good was number 1 in 31 countries and is the most successful song ever by a boyband  He has 35 number 1 albums worldwide and 54 number 1 singles so you might want to get your facts straight

You dont sell 45 million records if you are just charting in the UK

Oh and im sure Take That sold out the San Siro and that German stadium consecutively for a few dates plus others on their last tour..lol

An update up, Gary is STILL pulling away from Rudimental.

Gary Barlow really timed the release of Sing excellently, they'll not only get one week of massive sales this week before it starts falling once the Jubilee hype does down, but they also got decent sales last week!

'Sing' - the 'Someone Like You' of 2012. :o

Poor Gotye!!! :(

I really cannot see Sing outselling Somebody That I Used To Know at all.

I hope not, and you're right it probably won't even come close.

Where's Bieber's new one ATM?

He's looking to break Gaga's fastest song to reach #1 record in the US.
