Never expected 'Whistle' to be so huge. Obviously Gary is still ahead combined though - I can see Gary selling 140k to 150k and Whistle selling around 60k?

Whistle's progress is reminiscent of 'We Found Love', it could get close to the opening sales of that I think.

Ooh, 'Princess Of China' is back up to #8 :D Thank God it didn't get kicked out of the top 10 by Bieber/Flo Rida. Gary second version still at #10 but it surely can't be long before it gets kicked out.

Flo Rida will most likely debut at number two on the chart this week then - Usher will only fall a place or two with the weekend effect and 'Whistle' had already cropped up at #20 on yesterday's update - the sales he'll generate in the next few days are going to be incredible.

That was the fake version. (Which is still at #69, it could possibly hold on to a top 40 placing).

97. Payphone (Maroon 5 Feat. Wiz Khalifa Tribute) - Precision Tunes

Assumed the fake version has just been made illegible to chart - the BBC Chart Update (which is from the OCC) has Flo Rida - 'Whistle' at #20 as a 'New Entry'.

Greg James said it was the fake version at #20, even though the BBC has chosen to list the Flo Rida version in the update.

I really don't understand the buzz around Whistle but never mind

Happy to see Primadonna on the rise - up to 47. I think Marina has the potential to be a massive artist but is let down by the lack of support from Capital as well as other commercial radio stations. I mean there is no reason that Primadonna couldn't have been playlisted by them.

That's just an error on Radio 1's behalf. It's definitely the fake version at #20 and the real version hadn't sold enough to make the top 40 yet - the fake was #55 last week so there's no way it's ineligible for the chart.

Ooh, 'No Church In The Wild' back up to #48, could still go top 40 after all :D

Get that #1 SMASH Flo Rida :D I think he could have another 5-2-1 run. Entering at #5 this week due to missing 2 days of sales.

At the rate he's selling he'll be #2 this week, despite missing 2 days.

What fanbase?

Surely even rappers have fanbases?

10. Train 'Drive By'

11. Alex Clare 'Too Close'

12. Gary Barlow #2 'Sing'

19. The Wanted 'Chasing the Sun'

20. Justin Bieber 'All Around the World (feat. Ludacris)'

34. Emeli Sande 'My Kind of Love'

40. Stevie Wonder 'Superstition'

78. Can You Blow My 'Whistle (Cover Version)'

94. Plan B 'iLL Manors'

Second 'Sing' entry out of the top 10 again :D I was hoping Alex Clare would climb back into the top 10 but Train is fine as well - 'Drive By' is holding up really well, similar to 'Hey, Soul Sister' but consistently 10-15 places higher each week. Could get really high sales overall.

Pleasing to see 'ill Manors' has pretty much stabilised around the lower end of the top 100. Shame it couldn't have spent a little bit longer in the higher ends of the chart but at least it's still hanging around a bit (although the film will be helping it at the moment). I can't go and see the film as it's an 18 but I do need to watch it at some point.

Hopefully out of the top 40 on sunday. <_<

:D @ Ill Manors climbing again.

The film is supposed to be AMAZING. :o

I was lucky enough to go one of the preview screenings last night, and I have to say it's a very dark film. It'll be in your head for days. You won't be disappointed though I defiantly recommend it. Hope Ill Manners can get back Top 75 at least as a result of the film :yahoo: Top 40 may be hoping too much sadly :(

I think it will be. Iirc this is falling faster than "Bless The Broken Road" which was a midweek #20 that missed the top 40 at the end of the week.

'The Power' now has a '(feat. Dizzee Rascal)' on the feed. I wonder if it would have done better if it'd been like that from the start. Probably not.

'Fix You' was back in the top 100 earlier  Dropped out again now, but does anyone know why that's climbed again? I checked and it's still 99p.

I'm back :D

Duh. Tons of rappers have ginormous fanbase: Eminem, Drake, Jay-Z, Kanye West. Flo-Rida, on the other hand, does not. He has really really popular songs but that's it.

Basically, in general, the rappers that rap on hip hop beats have big fanbases, better album sales, and longer careers, and the rappers that rap on dance beats have small fanbases, terrible album sales and shorter careers.

Katy Perry back up to #51! I love this song, it's one of her best imo.
