:lol: Yes I don't say they are wrong but to present them as fact is erroneous. They are based on a "statistical model" (make of that what you will), figures aren't provided to even the record company until Tuesday so unless the OCC release some figures tomorrow nothing can be taken as hard fact til then.

 

This isn't a note really to you Jester but to those quoting these figures! :D

Yeah, those sales figures are just estimates. They're probably useful just as a rough guide. Especially considering the guy who runs that site probably doesn't know how exactly the pop bars are weighted with time.

It should be HIGHER though. As should Kelly Clarkson's 'Dark Side'.

First day of the week finished already and it's only looking to be Cheryl as a new entry to the top 40 next week.

Hoping that 'Payphone' is released tomorrow/Tuesday at some point, surely if the record label has gone through the trouble of requesting the deletion of previous covers, then this one (the most successful yet) should be the one to push them to the point of just releasing the track already. If they do, it'll be safe to assume 'Payphone' will be a new entry to the top 10.

Avicii can hopefully re-enter the top 40 next week aswell.

I'm pleased that Cheryl is doing so well, I didn't like it a few weeks ago when I first heard it but it's gradually grown on me. Bought it myself today, fully expecting it to clear 150k this week.

 

I am quite pleased how well My Kind Of Love is doing. I wasn't expecting it to go T40 at first because it's hardly a commercial song, but it has been handled very well (what with her The Voice performance and price reduction) and, even after been put back to 99p, is showing a fair amount of staying power. Obviously it's doing nothing compared to Next To Me but MKOL was only ever released to fill the gap between it and Read All About It, Pt. III so it has done remarkable.

I hope Maroon 5 release ASAP. It was fun to hear Can You Blow My's version of Whistle on the chart show today :lol: but if Precision Tunes get in Radio 1 will have to play Maroon 5's version, because, just like the Kings of Pop/will.i.am situation, there isn't a clean version of Precision Tunes' cover.
