June 15, 201213 yr Funny because she is talented; the fact that she's probably the best dancing musician from the UK proves otherwise. And I don't know what people in this country consider 'talent' when it comes to being a musician?! I'm sorry but if every artist was like Adele we'd live in one dull world.Back to the chart; do you think sales for #25 will be similar to the last few weeks? The best dancing musician? Surely they are two seperate things? Yes she can dance but if that was the criteria for being successful thousands would be in her position! I would consider a talented "musician" to be someone who has a good voice or someone who writes or performs good songs or at least can reproduce something like they produce in the studio live (and by live I mean singing without the help of a backing track and not just being in the building at the same time as it's being played) Cheryl is not the only one who earns a living as a singer and can barely sing and there are plenty of records I have bought by people who cant sing well live but I don't going around being fans of THEM, just the song!! What's to be a fan of, if the "singer" can't even sing? What's to admire?? It's all about the image which I grant you has been carefully crafted and sold to the idiots we call the british public. June 15, 201213 yr This is all going very off topic. This argument is as old as time and has been used against a wild variety of singers in the past. In truth music, or at least the music industry has ALWAYS been about image and visuals as much as about music, and the advent of MTV meant that it was only going one way. Pop music means different things to different people and people consume on different levels. In short the ability of an artist to be a great singer is not linked to how big people become or how many people like them.

June 15, 201213 yr Princess of China is doing well than we predicted a while back. Coldplay is the only band from the guitar structure with continous sucess because their music is different from most guitar bands.

As for Emeli Sande, I'm just ecstatic that the single is looking to re-peak, and could well climb again next week if the price reduction is held on for a second week.

June 15, 201213 yr Radio 1 are able to censor songs themselves. They've done it many times before. On my own computer I have a program called Audacity that you can use to mute or distory swear words in songs. Have you all forgotten their special edit they did for S&M? :lol:
