The duo were good and the Welsh lass who did The Cave also impressed me. I love the original version and think she sang it really well.

Kym Mazelle's choice of song was totally wrong. The gobby Welsh bloke (Ragsy) was entertaining so it will be interesting to see how well he does.

I was surprised to see Kym Mazelle making an appearance. 'Ring Of Fire' was a woeful song choice made even worse by its lounge bar version (the original by Johnny Cash will always be the superior version, nobody else does that song justice)
I found it a massive step-down from last week's episode, and there's still no one that I liked as much as anyone last year. I enjoyed Emma Jade Garbutt a lot though, and Smith and Jones were good too. Alys was good but her accent came through too often; I can't believe she had the cheek to leave them waiting for 23 minutes to decide though! Alex Buchanan was awful; how all four coached turned for him, I don't know. Liam was also really good.
Was Emma Jade the county-style singer? I thought she was awful. And how can you criticise a Welsh singer for sining in a Welsh accent but like a singer from the north of England who sings in an American accent? I have no objection to singers keeping their own accent rather than adpoting some horrible mid-Atlantic sound.

Yeah she was. I'm criticising her because it sounded like she was speaking the song at some points; she sounded fine and non-Welsh for the majority, but she broke multiple times!

The cynic in me thought she might have been making sure Tom Jones knew she was Welsh. She still has a long way to go to beat the wonderful way Cerys Matthews (Catatonia) pronounces the words "Mulder and Scully" for Welshness.

It's always good to hear that Beloved song with its gloriously random list of names. It also provides an excuse (by another contractual obligation) to post this

Just watched last night's auditions on YouTube.

Only Alys Williams, Emma Jade Garbutt and Smith & Jones stood out for me.

There's no one who's been on so far that I could really see in the charts. I think that most of them actually oversing to try and impress the judges but, for me, it doesn''t make me want to hear more of the contestant and it just sounds like they're shouting.

Liam was fantastic, that's about it.

The UK version just does not have that spark that the US one has.

Behind Takeaway in the ratings again (6.76 vs. 6.43m) but up 200k from last week and a peak of 8.7m is not to be sniffed at.
It was always going to be tougher for it this year. It's having to rebuild rather start with the massive hype it had last year. I am loving the series so far.
There were some really good auditions tonight! Didn't like Lem's audition though. He wasn't all that good, and the way it dragged out was irritating. :drama:
Lem is quite clearly this year's Jaz.

Cleo, Elise, Leah and especially Lovelle were fantastic! Really couldn't see anything in Connor though, he sounded in pain :/ Also thought Lem was quite overrated but he was good enough.

I enjoyed tonight's show much more than the previous two overall ^_^

Cleo, Elise, Leah and especially Lovelle were fantastic!

I'd pretty much agree with all of them. ^_^
