June 15, 201312 yr So so happy Leah got through, I was very worried even though she is already in the top 50 on iTunes with 'Killing Me Softly'! Cleo was amazing too and judging by iTunes, she would have been in the top 4 overall vote easily.
June 15, 201312 yr I'm so happy for Leah but it's a bittersweet moment because I'm gutted for Cleo too :( I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were the top 2 of the vote, obviously we can't prove anything and Cleo could have been last for all we know (very unlikely) but the format is ridiculous anyway and I've always said that. Wasn't fussed on Joseph or Mike but I'd have preferred Joseph. Both would probably sell about as well as Leanne Mitchell though

June 15, 201312 yr Team Jessie was just... abysmal. That whole section with the group performance and solo performances was painful, all of the performances were so dull! And I love all the songs they sang, so it's not that. Andrea was pretty good but she really needs to give it more. I enjoy her performances but they just seem to be nothing more than 'nice' every week, I want more from her. Great song choice though. Karl is great but I didn't like his song choice, last week was MUCH better. Team Danny's group performance was brilliant though  As for Team Will, the group performance was a bit disappointing but Leah and Cleo both sounded great. Leah's solo performance was also a bit disappointing, she was great as always and I loved it but it could have been less 'safe' as Jessie said, I did like how she reigned in the vocal tricks a bit. Cleo stole the show for me, but I still need/want Leah through to the final. It's just a shame that one of Ash/Matt (ugh) will be in the final and one of Will's amazing singers will go home :( I think Cleo could actually pull off a shock and get through, idk I have a feeling... Would be a big shock though with Leah as such a favourite! Will's shade at Leanne in his comments on Leah though  I thought Leah was far better this week because she avoided the vocal histrionics. Her choice of song was one of those I had in mind when I said the choices were uninspired but she did a good version. Similarly, the R Kelly version of I Believe I Can Fly is mind-numbingly dull but Karl's take on it was good. I'm still catching up and have got as far as Games People Play.
June 15, 201312 yr Cleo just KILLED it! WOW! I hope she gets through over Leah. Leah is good, but I think she is vastly overated. Cleo was terrible. She destroyed Imagine last week and this week she took on a song I don't like and made it sound worse than ever. This is The Voice, not The Screech.

June 15, 201312 yr Speaking of The Screech, what did you make of Jessie J's input in the Rihanna 'Stay' group performance? :D I didn't think it was as bad as some people thought  Overall, I'm quite pleased with the results. The three people I wanted to win got through and I wasn't really that bothered who won out of Karl and Andrea. At least I don't have to worry about what song Cleo will be destroying next week. The big question is whether Leah will go for a riskier choice than this week and whether she can avoid too many vocal gymnastics. At least, judging by the current iTunes chart, this year's winner should have more of an impact that Leanne Wotserface. At the very least they look likely to make it clear that the winning song will be available to download which is more than they did last year.
June 15, 201312 yr Okay, remind me why William spent the whole time during the group performance graffiti-ing and breakdancing instead of, you know, performing?
June 15, 201312 yr Okay, remind me why William spent the whole time during the group performance graffiti-ing and breakdancing instead of, you know, performing? Because he can't sing. You can thank me later.
June 15, 201312 yr Okay, remind me why William spent the whole time during the group performance graffiti-ing and breakdancing instead of, you know, performing? It was a way of drawing attention to himself while he wasn't actually centre-stage.
June 16, 201312 yr Author At the very least they look likely to make it clear that the winning song will be available to download which is more than they did last year. I just hope the winning song is not a cover of Read All About It Part 400 :( by Emeli Sande :(
June 16, 201312 yr They REALLY need to change the rules to where 1 from each team goes through to the final, I mean its ridiculous and totally unfair. Take note from the US. Clearly both Leah AND Cleo should have been in the Top 4. Leah or Mike have to win now, the only 2 left with any talent. Last nights show in general was utterly dire, all performances other than Cleo, Leah and Mike's were dreadful imo. And the coaches are just so cringeworthy comments like 'Mega star performance' for Karl with that horrid version of I Believe I Can Fly and Andrea's flat One Of Us sounding 'heavenly' are they deaf?
June 16, 201312 yr If iTunes is anything to go off right now, then Leah will win The Voice UK with Mike finishing in second place. If the fella on #TeamJessie (whose name already escapes me oops) wins, that'll be the worst possible result for the series. As for Leah, if they are determined for Leah to be successful then they should have her already recording tracks for her debut album and release it in the next few weeks whilst the hype is still there. Leave it 6 months then I doubt it'll have the same impact. That said, Leah's debut album will be full of covers but I hope they encourage more original tracks to be included.
June 16, 201312 yr Author I just hope Mike does not win the final otherwise it be another case of Leanne Whatshername. Do we really need a country singer, their shelf life is limited. Picking Up The Pieces was a dronefest.
June 16, 201312 yr I can appreciate Mike's talent, but he really isn't distinguishable from any other male country singer tbh. His style works with certain songs (When I Was Your Man wasn't too bad) but some songs just don't suit being transformed into a Jason Aldean album track, Picking Up The Pieces being one of those. My ranking would be: 01 Leah ---huge gap---- 02 Andrea ----colossal gap---- 03 Mike 04 Matt and if you swap Andrea and Mike I imagine that's what will happen in the final.
June 16, 201312 yr Ranking the remaining contestants: 1. Leah 2. Andrea [--gap in quality--] 3. Matt [--massive gap in quality--] 4. Mike
June 16, 201312 yr Ahh Matt, that's his name. Is he the one AaronTM sent a comment to The Voice and had it broadcast on TV. :D Shame I don't see any redeeming features in him whatsoever. :( He's basically Marcus Collins without the camp!!! As for Mike, as boring as some people make him out to be, I actually think his vocals are the sharpest of all four finalists. Pretty sure he's sang the least number of bum notes in his performances - probably helps that he doesn't resort to the "scream n' shout" which usually guarantees some major bum notes being sang.
June 16, 201312 yr My rankings would be: 1 - Leah 2 - Andrea (her voice sounds a bit like Maite of the Kelly Family) ------- Mighty Gap --------- 3. Mike 4. Matt (definite No-No but better than Ash who I couldn't stand from the start) Edited June 16, 201312 yr by euro music
