I think it'll be a more ironic case of 'Payphone' reaching no. 1 but failing to become a million seller. Well, in 2012 anyways - with continued trickle sales it might cross the million mark eventually.

I predict year end sales of 750k for Payphone.

Perhaps sticking my neck out a bit after it's only been released for 11 hours, but there you go :)

Didn't expect payphone to be doing so well because of the fake version. I don't think it will be as a bigger seller as Moves Like Jagger though, I believe it's chart run will just be it dropping week after week

BREAKING NEWS!

In the week Maroon 5 are releasing their new single, Cheryl has announced that Rihanna is on a new remix of 'Call My Name (Say My Name Baby-eh)' set to be released at midnight tonight...

:kink:

Just imagine if that were true though!

Payphone up to 11. 1 here we come...

It seems to be between 9-10am that new songs really get a move on...

QWell, if it debuts at #1, then it won't exactly have much choice in that...

With the speed they went top 100 I was semi-expecting to see Maroon 5 at #1 already - stall please? (Not gonna happen). I can't see this selling anywhere near as much as 'Moves Like Jagger' though, it could probably easily be another 600k seller or so but it'll stop well short of the million and won't have anywhere near the ridiculous longevity either.

Stooshe already at #21? Looks like it could go top 5 then :o Probably being helped a lot by being 59p from the start of course, but then 'Daddy by Emeli Sandé was as well and look what happened to that!

JME up to #72, I do hope he can finally get a top 40 hit with this after '96 F**kries' came so close.

lol. Big melt-downs on here haha.

She should do a remix of some sort for her next single though, imo.

Maroon 5 for number one please :D I was hoping Stooshe would miss the top 10 but that doesn't look like happening now :puke: :puke: Premier your single already Little Mix and show Stooshe how it's done. :drama:
I'm pretty sure Maroon 5 are number 1 combined almost, aren't they? They have two versions inside top 40 (nearly top 30!) and number 1 on the albums chart. If it wasn't for the fake, they'd probably have been higher by now with the single version.

The EP can't really be accounted for, but remember the top 2 have a massive lead over the rest of the top 40 - the two Payphones combined are nowhere near even #2 :P It won't be that way for long though.

Combined they are #3 on the singles chart. It doesn't seem that the fake has started to decrease yet either looking at the popularity bars on kworb.

Edit: Payphone  to #5 & #31. Black Heart  to #20.

Cheryl hanging on to #1 for dear life! #3 by this evening I suppose. <_<
Really pleased with how well StooShe are doing so far, I really hope with them being 59p that they have guaranteed themselves a top 5 placing. 'Black Heart' is stunning.

It looks like Black Heart is having a much better start than Love Me. Let's compare from around this time when Love Me was released. Of course it helps that BH is 59p, but I think it could be another top 5 for them.

Stooshe  35
