I find it completely baffling that 'Never Let Me Go' did as bad as it did, yet this which arguably had less hysteria around it as a single is contending for #1. :unsure:

 

I am aware it's pretty much solely down to the Calvin Harris remix, but still.

"Never Let Me Go" went top 3 in Australia and was a big seller there, but I agree.

 

Still surprised that "Shake It Out" couldn't go top 10. This era reminds me of the "Lungs" era again. First "LEAD" single peaks at #12, the subsequent singles flop, and then the biggest hit becomes the "danciest" of the bunch ("Spectrum" / "You Got The Love").

If Spectrum goes to #1, it be my second fave #1 of the year after Gotye. I never thought the track would get this high a bit of a surprise hit. I love it when one track just pops out of the woodwork and its heading for the top.

What a lovely surprise that Florence & Calvin are doing so well! :wub: Would love it to make #1 but I'm not sure it'll quite last the whole week in a strong position. If not then I'm hoping for will.i.am to return to #1.

That might include sales from the EP which was #1 on Sunday. Last time I checked it was down to #7 but it's still selling well. Hoping that those EP sales combined with the original can boost 'Spectrum' ahead of 'This Is Love'.
