Let's be thankful Woodkid was entered into BJSC two contests ago (I know it wasn't my entry but as a winner I'm using it as an example). It makes me wonder how a track like 'Run Boy Run' would've fared in SF1 of this contest. :o

I'm pretty sure I'm on for another DNQ but I do have the more favourable semi so y'never know...

My 2 cents on the vetoed song making it through second time around is that we take each individual song on it's merits at that exact moment in time. That doesn't mean that we will allow any vetoed song through a couple of months later, but in this case it was like Martin said. We didn't feel there was enough of the songs initial hype left to veto it again. Although it had been rejected previously, this time we just didn't feel that it met our conditions for vetoing.

You've done an incredible job with this showcase. I actually like how you've thrown yourself into this to make this contest one we'll never forget.

 

Can't help but feel a bit gutted for Blaudzun already though.

If I'm being honest, I think the mods made the right call on Diandra. It would've potentially stormed to victory last contest whereas now it seems really flash in the pan (and in any case, it got horrendously overrated by Scandipop. Yeah it's a good track, but they literally acted like it was one of the greatest songs they'd ever featured on the site when it's basically an alright Alexandra Burke song...). And the Grouplove track doesn't scream obvious winner to me either - I can't think how it goes off the top of my head at least, although I must have heard it before.
