I think I've gone off it as well.

The website redesign was alright for me but I haven't been able to scrobble practically anything since I've started using Apple Music and I can't be bothered anymore to find a way for it to work.

Have we got to the bottom of the Apple Music vs. Last.FM debate? I wanna quit Spotify!

Yes it's because I use apple music! I think the plays in general just don't register properly, let alone with last.fm. There's a playlist which is supposed to be "top 25 most played" and it's got a song on there high up which I've played twice because my friend wanted it on at pres :lol: And I definitely don't listen to so few unique songs that two plays makes you like top 10 in my most played....

It's been fine for me recently, I mostly use iTunes cause I have such a huge library and Universal Scrobbler's a great tool if things mess up. I find it so interesting going back and seeing what I was listening to on a random day three years ago or something.

My last.fm is fine with scrobbling thankfully but I use iTunes!

I noticed with 'Chandelier' (a song I had way over 100 scrobbles for) all of them just disappeared, and a few weeks ago I had less than 10. :wacko: I just can't work out what happened there.

You know what I miss from the old site? Being able to see who else was listening to the same Song as yourself at the same time. It was great because I used to look at their profiles and see how much we had in common.

^And when you used to go to an artist's page you could see a list of your friends in order of who'd listened to that artist the most, you have to do some more searching for that info now. -_-

 

They definitely released the beta way too soon, don't get me wrong there are things I like about it, the prominence of the personal album chart for example and they have fixed up loads of the initial problems but there are still a lot of features they've not brought back (*AHEM* proper 'About Me' section') and more they've not done as well.

Yeah, narcissism all the way :cool: jk! I have a like/dislike (not so much love/hate as that's more extreme ^_^) relationship with 'about me' sections. Sometimes I think of 'the perfect thing' to put, other times I'm like well, do I go for a genuine few lines about myself or a random lyric or what lmao. My Tinder is still about me-less (and matchless -_-) lololol

 

I think I have something in mind in terms of something I miss from the old last.fm but I can't for the life of me remember what it was :thinking: Occasionally I still think of possibly resetting mine because it's inaccurate, but I probably don't actually care that much anymore :lol: There was a period of a few months last year where I gave up scrobbling altogether cos there was something wrong with my scrobbler or something and not even re-installing would help or smth, I can't even remember exactly. So it's missed a whole bunch of scrobbles, plus I'm pretty sure it has overscrobbled many times lol

Well I only used to keep a brief introduction about myself (no more than a couple of sentences), the rest was a list of all the artists I'd seen live and a lot of widgets, especially the album artwork ones (though at least there's sort of an in built function that partially replaces that), also tag clouds and a milestone counter for every 1000th track I played which I found really interesting. I've not even got room for the artists I've seen, at least not with supports and dates with a mere 250 characters.

Omg the radio *.* I used to listen to that constantly! Would type in all these random tags and all this great unknown-to-me music would just start playing :music: lol. They still have the recommendations radio thing through Spotify at least tho, although I don't use that at all really, just tried it once or twice to see.

I said I didn't really use it but I do remember using it a couple of times when I was at school in 6th form and I forgot my iPod, you could listen to other user's 'radios' too and it'd shuffle through the tracks they'd played the most. Good times. :heart:

Not as invested as before the new design but still check it a fair amount. (The xx were the accompanying soundtrack to writing all of my rate comments so they are my most listened to artist of the past 90 days very comfortably! :lol:)

"Jayko8472" - oops, made it in January 2012, why can't they implement name changes? Anyway, love the site, I didn't like the revamp at first but I'm getting used to it now. Every now and again when I'm browsing my listening history, I'll see what I listened to a year and a half ago (for example) at a specific timestamp and it sometimes genuinely helps me remember that day and what I was doing at the time.
