They are hardly used in Chart Chat (luckily) :o

I really want Taylor's song to be massive with huge longevity just to prove to record companies that releasing on the next available Sunday after on air is the best option.

Taylor's had a really good top ten effect and it's being played on Radio 1 now. :D I didn't expect her to have any US success after the flop of 'Mine' and with 'Love Story' being three years ago so I'm so pleased.

Come on and somehow get to #1 Taylor! (Devlin would be preferable to her but Taylor is the only person who could realistically overtake the hideous song currently at #1, still no chance really though. Hoping for 'Watchtower' to go top 5, 4th top 5 hit for Ed!)

 

Simple Plan only at #28 so far, surprised it isn't doing better. It's growing on me really quickly, so much better than Simple Plan's previous 'hits'! Sounds quite Train-ish.

Sam and the Womp now have a 25% lead over Rita

 

Plus they've been #1 on the Albums chart with the EP so the percentage gap will be more than that - maybe 30-35k.

Interesting that one of the members of Sam & The Womp is the son of legendary producer, Trevor Horn (who was also the lead singer of the Buggles who had a #1 UK hit of their own with "Video Killed The Radio Star" in 1979).

I pointed that out earlier :lol: it would actually make a great #1 for that fact alone, as I can't remember any one else where a father and son had a #1 years apart and apparently Aaron Horn is also a record producer, and he owns a record company with his sister Alexandra Horn so there is a few connections there.

 

As for the record the track is awful but its beginning to grow on me. -_-
