Womping is the trumpets and dubstep wobble in the background! I'm not sure people are going to buy trumpets just so they can 'womp' along :lol:

What is Womping? Is it a dance move where you raise your fist up in the air whilst you're having a cardiac arrest, and because of the pressure on your chest, the only sound you can make with your voice is 'womp'?

I googled it and it says 'the act of dancing to dubstep music' :lol: Capital tweeted that Sam & The Womp said that 'womp' is the 'space between the bass and your face' (?!?!) as well.

OK, I did finally listen to Leona-Trouble

 

 

I only liked the first 2m35s though - I suspect that's about the only part radio stations like Heart will play, too... :P

 

I have to disagree with Electroboy though - the rap very much sounds tacked-on. I guess her record company told her 'the only way this'll sell is if you do that'.

 

Personally though, I would actually buy a rap-free mix of this - I hope she is smart enough to insist on one being released...

Of course it will have a rap-free edit - at least for radio, so as not to put off Heart and R2 from playing it.

 

Whether it will be available to buy is another thing altogether.

 

I'm surprised you don't like the rap on this though - its kind of a nerdy-type rap, nothing like JayZ or anyone like that with multiple swear words and/or censored references - its actually quite a "cute" rap IMO.

I love Childish Gambino's style of rapping, it's why I was so on board with him being the guest on Trouble. Hopefully he gets a mainstream break soon and has a big solo career, I think Trouble should easily be bigger than Collide anyway.
