'Wings' is easily better than 'Heatwave' and 'Bom Bom' combined. :D However, can Little Mix break the X Factor curse and actually get a second UK #1 single? I'd like to think so because it's not a cover, it's not a Gary Barlow penned ballad that wasn't good enough for 'Open Road' in 1998 and it's just a great upbeat fun pop song.

I think pretty much everybody must agree with this!! I remember last year pretty much every Sunday there was a "This is the worst #1 of ALL TIME" melt-down. There hasn't really been any of those this year.

Explode finally making a move, #31 may be a hit after all, surely it'll be made 59p soon too. The feature of Dappy is so random though, his rap is so odd in the song for me.

 

Personally though, I would actually buy a rap-free mix of this - I hope she is smart enough to insist on one being released...

 

 

Of course it will have a rap-free edit - at least for radio, so as not to put off Heart and R2 from playing it.

 

Whether it will be available to buy is another thing altogether.

 

There will be an acoustic version released. So I'm looking forward to hearing that. :wub:

I think the number ones this year have been better, but music in general I much preferred in 2011. A lot of my favourite songs from 2011 never got to number 1 (such as Rolling In The Deep, S&M, Shake It Out, Video Games, Born This Way etc.), whereas quite a few of my favourite songs from this year have been #1s (Domino, Titanium, We Are Young etc.). Overall though, music was significantly better in 2011 in my opinion.
