Is it just me or is 'Good Time' climbing suprisingly slowly?

To be honest, hardly anyone knows it has been released! Once (once, once, yeah) word gets around it should climb quicker :D

'Good Time' needs to at the very least be Top 5, it's one of the songs of the year as far as I'm concerned .
How random for them to make Good Time available mid-day on a Thursday.
Well, I went on a mini buying spree and bought Sam and the Womp and Owly Rae Jepsen (and Angels by the xx).
 14 Little Talks

Great to see Of Monsters and Men rising, should easily become a Top 10 hit over the next week or two!

Didn't realise Little Talks had risen so much! :o

Is there any special reason for this climb? I'm not complaining of course.

Good Time up to #36

Good Time, Little Talks, Some Nights, Under The Sun and As Long As You Love me all for top 10 please. With either LT or SN eventually reaching the top 3 (#1 spot ).

I would love that.

Good Time  31!

It is having the desired effect on the album, 'The Midsummer Station' is back up to 19! Good work from Owl and his label!

Good Time  #29

Delighted to see 'Some Nights' and 'Little Talks' climbing. Top 10 within the next day or two, please!

I'm pleased Owl City is climbing relatively slowly so far, it's one of the worst songs of the year and the lyrics reek of desperation. Such an obvious attempt to prevent the two artists becoming one hit wonders, there's no subtlety at all. "Fireflies" was cheesy as hell, but it was a decent song and quite unique. I really hope this fails to reach #1.

"hands up if you're down to get down tonight"

makes me  every damn time.

Catchy song, though.

Catchy song, though.

Awful. There's no way it could avoid being catchy really, it's so bloody repetitive! Every verse ends with the same line and the chorus uses the same line, with some "whoa" bits added.

Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woke up on the right side of the bed

What's up with this Prince song inside my head?

Hands up if you're down to get down tonight

'Cause it's always a good time

Slept in all my clothes like I didn't care

Hopped into a cab, take me anywhere

I'm in if you're down to get down tonight

'Cause it's always a good time

Good morning and good night

I wake up at twilight

It's gonna be alright

We don't even have to try

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.

Freaked out, dropped my phone in the pool again

Checked out of my room, hit the ATM

Let's hang out if you're down to get down tonight

'Cause it's always a good time

Good morning and good night

I wake up at twilight

It's gonna be alright

We don't even have to try

It's always a good time.

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.

Doesn't matter when

It's always a good time then

Doesn't matter where

It's always a good time there

Doesn't matter when,

It's always a good time then

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

We don't even have to try, it's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh

We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.

Well done guys. This song definitely deserves to get to #1.

Oh I agree completely, its very catchy and it may grow on me in a 'guilty pleasure' sort of way, and I know you can't flog a dead horse, but its just a shame he has to lose all his identity to get the public interested again :(. There's no way it won't be huge though, #1 or not, I'm sure it will still be in the top 10 three months from now.

I don't know much of his music, but it's clear to me from what I've heard that he's lost his identity on this track - it even feels cheap for Carly Rae Jepsen. Unfortunately I think you're right about the longevity, people don't really care about integrity or whether the song is any good - if it's catchy and radio play it a lot they'll buy it.

It's going up for pre-order tonight, out 30th September.

So what was all the fuss about then? the msn website was acting as if it was out to download tonight when really it's not out until September.

There's no point of pre-ordering it either, the people who want to buy it should just be patient and wait until 30th September.
