June 27, 20205 yr Yes! The storyline with Harley and Phoenix’s nan was so weird, and I’m just not ready to see Finn try it on with the new girl either!
June 27, 20205 yr Author !!! I don’t remember any of that! Kyle Stack, was he the one George Sampson played? Awful character. That's the one! I didn't really care much either way for him. I think he was popular with viewers though (perhaps more because of the actor himself) and the show kept bringing him back.
June 27, 20205 yr I can’t stand him - one thing I’ve noticed in the latest season is that they introduce ‘bad boys’ who are bad for an episode or two, and then end up being nice until the plot requires it!
June 27, 20205 yr Lewis Seddon and Earl Kelly were the best bad boys the show had. Finn I feel was brought in to replace Bolton was he was soon to be leaving though and they kinda tried making Finn and Josh into that double act. Scout was well acted for me but definitely a Sambuca replacement. Up until her final CS story I always thought Katie McGlynn was better in Waterloo Road than CS! Also agree on the s7 finale too that cliff hanger wasn’t needed. The first 3 series had good cliff hangers but the show kinda wrapped up all stories by the finale in later ones until s7! But the seventh one was pointless.
June 27, 20205 yr The whole arc with Earl was great, he was a great character! I’m enjoying S7 a little more now that they are focussing on the school, I enjoy the staffing issues etc and the newcomers Daniel, Sian, Linda etc are actually quite good!
June 27, 20205 yr Linda is an absolute queen. I can’t take her seriously, i keep expecting her to hit out with some sort of Miranda style joke 😂
June 27, 20205 yr I can’t take her seriously, i keep expecting her to hit out with some sort of Miranda style joke 😂 Trust me, she just gets better and better.
June 27, 20205 yr Author I thought Daniel was good, I really enjoyed his character and his friendship with Janeece. I also liked Eleanor even though we weren't 'supposed' too. The last episode I watched, she slips on some water and has a really nasty fall and the camera cuts to Karen who just smirks.
June 27, 20205 yr Eleanor was an absolute fave, they definitely wanted us to hate her. But Karen Fisher was so awful, I automatically went with her adversary. It’s like Mick Carter vs anyone on Eastenders.
June 27, 20205 yr I agree I liked Eleanor because I disliked Karen - I hated how they did the whole protest for Karen as if she was some great head when she really wasn’t!
June 27, 20205 yr I agree I liked Eleanor because I disliked Karen - I hated how they did the whole protest for Karen as if she was some great head when she really wasn’t! And she was gone by the next series anyway!
June 27, 20205 yr I know! Also, how unlikable is Vicki McDonald? I feel bad for poor Ronan he can’t do right for doing wrong!
June 27, 20205 yr Omg I used to howl at Vicki constantly being miserable and always revising and still managing to fail everything to continue the misery.
June 27, 20205 yr Author Omg I used to howl at Vicki constantly being miserable and always revising and still managing to fail everything to continue the misery. Omg isn't this the truth? Abi Branning vibes.
June 27, 20205 yr YES! She is just so miserable I can’t deal! What do yous think about Trudi and Finn?
June 27, 20205 yr I'm more sympathetic to the Karen-years than y'all as that's my first memory of the show! I saw that and Season 7, as well as a few Scottish episodes. I must go back and watch them all on iPlayer, anything with Denise Welch = <3 :kink: I just googled that scene where Eleanor slips and it's so badly edited, after she falls can see her standing up then suddenly she's on the ground again  I too loved Eleanor, and remember buying in Jonah/Francesca as some tragic love story at the time which shows how wrong it was portrayed I guess :') 438OkZC7vsc
June 27, 20205 yr Author I never noticed that! It's like she hadn't even fallen in the first place, she's just stood there with her papers in hand.
