Howcome they've released that Lucy's song?

It was already on iTunes. Her album Top Room At The Zoo was released on the 20th October 2011. ;)

She has also a single called Tea And Toast on iTunes, that was released this July.

Howcome they've released that Lucy's song?

She released it last year independently and the other single 'Tea and Toast' was released in July this year

No idea who Lucy Spraggan is, but she has one hell of a stupid surname.

 Mature....

According to Lucy's website, her album is being taken off iTunes soon (not her own decision apparently) and 'Last Night' is only available on there so expect it to disappear pretty soon and not come back, unless it's released as a single. It'll probably still make the top 40 this week even if it's deleted right now though. If/when the album is deleted the only Lucy Spraggan song that'll be available will be 'Tea And Toast' which was released as a single (currently #45 on iTunes).

So basically if any of you want to download 'Last Night'or her album you'd probably best do it sooner rather than later.

As much as I dislike her I think that's really unfair that they're making her remove the album. I mean, she has the 2nd best selling song in the country. If they allow people to perform their own songs which they've independently released, then Xfactor should have been prepared for something like this to happen. If a completely new song is performed then I guess statistically it's more likely to be downloaded than someone who performed a cover really well as people are more likely to already own that song or at least be aware of it.

Having not watched X-Factor/been aware of the situation until today, I feel the decision to remove the album from X-Factor is merely to prevent it looking like Lucy is already favourite to win. I mean they didn't allow the live performances from last year to be included in the iTunes chart, so as not to give an indication of who is the more popular act; so it's only fair they do it to Lucy too (though they should've done it pre-broadcast).

 #13 Fazer - Killer

Can see this getting top 10 by the end of the day where it will then get the top 10 effect.

I disagree with them removing the Lucy track, purely as a song charting highly does not constitute a successful artist.

Two best examples are 'Cannonball' by Damien Rice and 'There You'll Be' by Faith Hill. Both tracks went top 10 off the back of an audition performance, BUT the singers who sang them did not reach the live stages, one didnt even make judges houses

Exactly! I think she's a very talented woman and I personally like her previous material, but she clearly won't win. Her type of voice means that she'll surely struggle once it comes to the stage of bootcamp where you have to sing one of a list of songs (which will undoubtedly consist of Adele, Birdy, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Emeli Sande ) and you can't fall back on your own song choice. Or when it comes to themed weeks. I know artists like Kate Nash and Lily Allen have done fantastic covers of songs away from their style, but if she did make the lives and did that every week it would get very grating. It just seems that this song struck a chord with the public, it doesn't mean she'll breeze through and I don't think it's at all right to be taking it off sale just because it's selling.

Also, she'll end up getting quite hated like Cher Lloyd, Diana Vickers, Misha B, every attractive young male, that ditzy girl from last year who was a Lady Gaga tribute act, etc. Every time on X Factor when a contestent get a lot of hype early on, soon people start to hate them because they think they're overrated, "don't get the hype", and so on. The same will happen to Lucy, if she stays in for much longer. She'll be very hated soon imo.

By the way what would the official chart have looked like if the X Factor live performances had being allowed to be chart eligable? Is there anywhere I can find this? If possible

 24. Explode (Radio Edit) - Cover Drive (album version down to #83)

 42. Beat Down - Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas

 52. Summertime in the City - Scouting for Girls (Ouch, hard to think they scored a #1 hit just over two years ago!)

 172. Dream of Me - Kristina Train

Haven't heard much about Kristina Train before, but the song seems to be getting a bit of airplay recently

I personally think we've had alot worse than that before; JLS/Cher Lloyd last year, and Black Eyed Peas/Willow spring to mind!

I'd love to see Steve Aoki get another top 40 hit  But I don't love the song just because of him, because the female rapper is amazing too!

Please could you explain how 'Wings' is ""chav music"" because I don't see it at all.

'Last Night' has now been deleted, but I just searched for it and I was still able to buy it (as I didn't do earlier)!
