August 27, 201212 yr Why on Earth have they combined 'You Got The Dirtee Love' with 'You've Got The Love'?!
August 27, 201212 yr Florence's You've Got The Love has been combined with the Dizzee version and is almost a million seller? Ok...
August 27, 201212 yr Author Why on Earth have they combined 'You Got The Dirtee Love' with 'You've Got The Love'?! Didn't realise that's what they'd done, but it must be, based on the figures...
August 27, 201212 yr I kind of wish they actually did combine them for the charts, since they would've beaten that boring Jason Derulo song to #1 after the BRITs. If they combined both Empire State of Minds, it would be the biggest-selling digital song of all-time probably, and would've had the most insane chart run ever (but probably still never reached #1). And, this is probably none of my busines... but what on Earth are Azealia Banks and Katy B doing at those festivals? Edited August 27, 201212 yr by Eric_Blob

Seems like three lions all over again. The difference being that the OCC combine all versions of 'Three Lions' in weekly charts, but YGTL and YGTDL charted separately. I wouldn't dispute this sales combining if it was at least consistent with what they did with it at the time. Edited August 27, 201212 yr by Bré
August 27, 201212 yr Didn't Green Day perform at one or the other? I know 2004 was appalling for sales, but I'd have still expected the likes of Boulevard Of Broken Dreams or American Idiot to make an appearance.
August 27, 201212 yr Feeder. Didn't think they'd get 2 entries in this considering sales are bigger in general now I think...
August 27, 201212 yr There is a dance stage at Reading/Leeds Festival (it's only there for one day instead of 3 though). Oh, okay, that makes sense. I was thinking, most of the people there would probably hate them.
August 27, 201212 yr Didn't Green Day perform at one or the other? I know 2004 was appalling for sales, but I'd have still expected the likes of Boulevard Of Broken Dreams or American Idiot to make an appearance. They were a surprise appearance and weren't on the bill so that probably explains it, I'm guessing this list was devised a while ago. And yay at "Decode" outselling "The Only Exception" :D
August 27, 201212 yr And yay at "Decode" outselling "The Only Exception" :D That seems weird to me, a song that peaked at #52 and had 6 weeks in the top 75 selling more than a song that peaked at #31 and had 6 weeks on the chart (including another week at #33) The charts mustn't have been selling well when TOE charted
August 27, 201212 yr Could Dog Days Are Over be the biggest selling non-top 20 single? Quite probably. Although like 'One Day Like This' I doubt it'll stay a non-top 20 hit forever. The digital era is gradually correcting peaks of formerly low-peaking classics :P
August 27, 201212 yr Quite probably. Although like 'One Day Like This' I doubt it'll stay a non-top 20 hit forever. The digital era is gradually correcting peaks of formerly low-peaking classics :P Good point. If someone performed 'Dog Days Are Over' on X Factor and gave a brilliant performance, it could quite easily do a "Move You Feel My Love" and boost its digital sales. As for 'You Got The Love' selling over 968k, what were the sales for both versions seperately? I'd imagine the original sold more than the Dizzee Rascal Brits version. Why not also throw in the sales of Dizzee Rascal 'Dirtee Cash' too? :D
August 27, 201212 yr Am I the only person who thinks this is a pointless chart? Well yes of course it's completely pointless, but that doesn't mean it isn't interesting ;) Any chart with Florence at the top is welcome in my books. Edited August 27, 201212 yr by biophiliac.

August 27, 201212 yr I wonder if the OCC now combine both versions of Amy Winehouse's "Valerie" too. They didnt when both re-entered last Summer.
