I think if Simon Cowell wanted to get Leona a number 1, then he should have swapped 1D's and her releases around. I can't really see Leona knocking off 1D even if 'Live While We're Young' is going to be VERY front-loaded

Tulisa following Ne-Yo at number 1 would truly be a DARK TIME for the charts, as the former really does define 'bottom of the barrel' in every sense. This doesn't seem to inevitable as Young though so I'm gonna just keep hoping. I'm sure The Killers will be a challenger though, its getting very good support from radio 1.

I can't see how Trouble is a massive contender though, Collide & Hurt (*shudders*) both didn't exactly set the charts alight, I can't see this really redeeming that.

I'm disgusted by Ne-Yo leapfrogging P!nk, I had a feeling it'd happen but I didn't want to believe it.

As for Tulisa, I'm rooting for that to do a 'What Do You Take Me For?'.

Am I the only one that thinks David Guetta & Sia's New single will be number 1 next week. It will be available to cherry pick from the re-release next Monday.

So long as they don't do an Owl City, make the single Album only for a few days, then make it available for cherry picking  . Although I doubt Guetta would do that, he seems happy for his music to get out there

Climbing fast now :o

Ooh thanks! I had been wondering what that track was :D Just bought it!

Just googled this, quite a good tune. I'm gonna buy this B-)

Fantastic record  Hoping R1 slap it on the playlist on Wed!

Interesting turn of events - though another one-weeked #1s continues. So we've had Rita Ora, Sam and the Womp, Little Mix, likely Ne-Yo and then...

I don't see Tulisa debuting at number-one honestly. 'Young' has a very different sound, one which was a lot more appealing - and the feature from Tyga adds very little to the awfully-penned track. If it did debut at number-one, it'd be the first big disappointment of this year's number-ones for me. I can see/hope that one of the current contenders climbs/remains at number-one, or 'Good Time'/'Harder Than You Think' get a big boost.

Example's 'Say Nothing' screams #1 to me though, so I'm anticipating its release. Great sound, great lyrics - could well hold on for two weeks (as if Dappy is any real competition).

Well done to Ne-Yo :)

So who is going to knock Ne-Yo off the top spot next week? :D Looking at the release schedule, this is my prediction for the next few UK chart toppers.

09/09/12 = Ne-Yo - Let Me Love You

16/09/12 = Tulisa feat. Tyga - Live It Up

23/09/12 = Example - Say Nothing

30/09/12 = Dappy - Good Intentions

07/10/12 = One Direction - Live While We're Young (although I've not heard this yet)

14/10/12 = Leona Lewis feat. Childish Gambino - Trouble

Well, aren't we in for a treat in the next few weeks. The one track listed that I actually like the most is ultimately the most likely to stall at #2 as well (that being 'Trouble'). :D

I'd love nothing more than to see Leona top the charts, But i doubt she will top 3 maybe after her x factor performance! She also still as her guest judge parts on x factor to be shown yet that should keep her in public eye until her performance, I think she will get #1 album tho fingers crossed!

Example and 1D are dead certs for #1 tho

They're the only certainties from that list, in my eyes.

09/09/12 = Ne-Yo

16/09/12 = Tulisa // The Killers // Something climbing (i.e. The Script) // Ne-Yo (week #2)

23/09/12 = Example - Say Nothing

30/09/12 = Dappy // DJ Fresh // Example (week #2)*

07/10/12 = One Direction - Live While We're Young

14/10/12 = Leona Lewis // One Direction (week #2)

21/10/12 = ??? = nothing notable released

* - Unless of course Example doesn't get to #1 in the first place, I really can't see Dappy or DJ Fresh getting there. Neither has the support past singles have had thus far, and neither sound like memorable hits either. I'm all open for something new coming out of the blue and hogging the spot for a few weeks (just as 'Spectrum' spent an unexpected 3 weeks at the summit!) Would it be too much to ask for Calvin Harris to remix the xx?

'Some Nights' has now been reduced to 59p! That should secure a top 10 position on iTunes very soon! :cheer:

9/9/12 - Ne-Yo - Let Me Love You

16/9/12 - Ne-Yo - Let Me Love You

23/9/12 - Example - Say Nothing

30/9/12 - Taylor Swift - WANEGBT / Flo Rida - I Cry (You never know )

7/10/12 - One Direction - Live While We're Young

14/10/12 - Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child (This just seems like a big hit to me. But why are they holding it back for so long?)

Don't know why some people see The Killers as contenders, Runaways would be lucky to go Top 10 imo. Is there even much hype around it?

All Tulisa does is shout in her songs. I hope she's not gonna be number 1 but im sure she wont as Coldplay will see to that.

^_^ :D Hopefully that means it can climb up to around #5 on iTunes then. I love it, it's a worthy follow up to 'We Are Young' although I initially found the random autotune bit near the end weird, I now love that too.

There is no chance Tulisa's song will debut at #1.

The song is like the "You da One" after a "We Found Love".

Most likely Ne-Yo will hold for another week.
