Out of the top 40, I've only heard these. I feel like an alienated old man. I'm willing to bet I'm not missing out too!

I know this concerns absolutely no-one but me, but I'll go ahead and make this post anyway. (Y)

Well done Little Mix! Yay for big climbs from Of Monsters and Men and fun. :cheer: Top 10 next week, please! :D

Glad that Of Monsters and Men and Elbow managed to keep Top 5 placings in the albums, and Plan B and fun. jump back into the Top 10. :cheer: Nice climbs for Florence + the Machine and Foo Fighters, and Keane’s Strangeland is continuing its very up and down chart run with a massive fall. I see Trey Songz’ album has fallen out of the Top 40 from #10…oh dear.

Lucy Spraggen already more successfull than most acts who make the final live stages of x factor.

Really happy to Monsters of Men in the top 5 albums, i hope it stays around a bit and i hope Little Talks makes the top 10 at the lowest next week as its a belter of a song.

Just removed Little Mix from the One Hit Wonder list. :D

Massive OUCH to Aiden Grimshaw in the albums.

Uh oh for Aiden Grimshaw's album - 19-100! :P Cheryl's A Million Lights dropping to #70, Under the Sun obviously isn't helping it. Great to see so many climbs thanks to Reading/Leeds Festival.

Paloma Faith's 30 Minute Love Affair isn't going to go Top 40 :( At least it is it's highest peaking single outside the Top 40. Hopefully Just Be will be a hit with it almost/in the Top 40 on iTunes.

Well done Little Mix! Ouch at Scouting for Girls...says it all when an album track and an eight year old song are higher. Shame as it was not a bad track.

Lawson are the new McFly....sans talent.

Well done Steve Aoki for going to #44 :D I am disapointed that it didn't go top 40, but another top 50 hit for him is great too - it sounds very different to most songs that get up there so great to see that it didn't do a terrible flop.

Scouting For Girls at #73  Their T40 hit streak is finally over :D

Why are Public Enemy back in the chart?

Why are Public Enemy back in the chart?

Its been used as a theme tune in the Paralympics during the commercial breaks.

Why are Public Enemy back in the chart?

I don't like the song to be honest, hopefully it drops out quickly as soon as it finishes.

Thanks.

This is their second single to miss top 40. Don't wanna leave you made 69 in 2010.

This is their second single to miss top 40. Don't wanna leave you made 69 in 2010.

I forgot about that :P But that wasn't so bad as it was their second post-album single. A lead single flopping at #73 and peaking lower than the third single from their last album is really terrible for them.

La Roux is back with "In For The Kill", that has to do with the new Dredd movie before anyone asks

I dont particularly like it but it's nice to see something in the chart that isn't pop music.

Not sure what to make of the Noisettes album at #30. There doesn't appear to have been any hype for it, but I was still hoping for top 20. The single charting within the top 100 is quite pleasing though.

I'm really quite surprised at how badly the Aiden Grimshaw album has done though. I always thought there was a decently sized fanbase for him out there. I hope the Jessie Ware album can stabilise too. Saying all that, I am taking some joy in seeing Scouting For Girls bomb. And Paloma's 'Just Be' making an impact is quite pleasing too.

Top 40 still seems quite stale in my opinion, bottom half in particular.
