Has X Factor been on yet? I'm hoping she'll get a boost while people are watching her on TV.

It just finished. "Live It Up" wasn't played in the background though, but I hope the fact that it was on will give it some boost. The song isn't amazing, but I do think it's top 10 worthy. Having said that, Tulisa did say herself that she didn't think the song would go top 10.

I wouldn't expect them to play Live It Up in the background of X Factor anyway tbh.

I think she should release a ballad as her next single, hopefully.

She's already confirmed that the next single is a ballad! ;) She said that she will be most likely performing it on X Factor too.

Songs (mainly Coldplay) to watch out for from their Paralympics closing ceremony performance:

"Us Against the World"

"Yellow"

"Up in Flames"

"Paradise"

"42"

"God Put a Smile upon Your Face"

"Clocks"

"Every Teardrop is a Waterfall"

"Princess of China" (with Rihanna)

"Strawberry Swing"

"We Found Love" (Rihanna-only)

"Viva la Vida"

"Run this Town" (with Jay-Z and Rihanna)

"Paradise (reprise)" (with Jay-Z)

"The Scientist"

"Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (reprise)"

Edited by THEO.

Isn't "Skeletons" Tulisa's next single?

I'm not sure if it's her next single, she hasn't confirmed anything yet, but she did say it was a ballad.

Its never worth trying to gauge an XF stars longeivity by the first single. Remember Diana Vickers? No, no does anybody else yet she started so well

Diana still has lots of fans! And she has got a great career, she's currently out in South Africa starring in a brand new film! Plus her second album is being produced right now! Don't write Diana off yet, I'm sure there is still more success to come for her!

Once by Diana Vickers ended up at #4 on iTunes by Sunday as well iirc!

Yep it did! I can remember I was so nervous that I thought Usher would steal number 1 at the last minute, but it turned out she got #1 by about 5k copies I think! Such an amazing day!

Yes!!!! That's great! I hope it's not a simple piano ballad though. Hopefully it's a big atmospheric one like Say It Right or Halo, or maybe an electronic ballad like Wide Awake, or an R&B styled one like Issues, Take a Bow or T-Shirt (sorry, my mind is running wild now ).

SPOILER ALERT:

Apparently this is Coldplay's setlist for this evening.

Something like Wide Awake would be really great for her I think, she certainly does need a ballad. She has a fantastic voice anyway!

"My next single is the ballad. I think it's important for every artist to have that ballad that stands the test of time. I really feel like this ballad is one of those songs. I hope it touches people."

I'm glad, but not totally surpised, that Tulisa's next song is a ballad. I remember she said that the singles released from her album would be totally different to each other, and she was experimenting with different genres on her album.

Adele - One and Only  to #87.

The girl who sang it on X Factor was really good, probably too early in the programme for a major boost though!

Also, '21' is back  to #18 on iTunes album chart!

Nicely said Ryan. I love her so much and even sang "Put It Back Together" for one of my assessments in Music :P . Absolutely love her. I hope she can find more success.

I don't think Amelia Lily will get number one this week but I wouldn't mind because it would knock of Ne-Yo. :)

Thanks. It's a shame it's not going to be a dancehall-styled ballad. :( I think that would've been really interesting.

The producers and song-writers that she's worked with are so promising aswell. Some big names there.

I agree with what it says about Nicki Minaj aswell. The song does sound like something that a Young Money artist would release, with the vocal sample (which Lil Wayne re-popularized) and the chanting (like in Rack City).

Why was Black Eyed Peas' Meet Me Halfway at #2 that week? Did it have numerous versions charting high on iTunes?

The week Jason was #1 on iTunes all week was the second week, when both Peter Kay and The X Factor Finalists were ahead on physicals.
