Tulisa's very close to #11 according to Live Pop Bars.
It looks like 'Trouble' is the only other release in SHM's week that might possibly trouble (no pun even intended ) the top 10. Assuming One Direction will be extremely frontloaded, surely 'Don't You Worry Child' has a very decent shot at getting them a #1? Would be a very nice way to end their short chart history. Maintains the peaking at one below a multiple of 3 thing as well :P 7-4-10-4-13-1.

If Swedish House Mafia make #1 that would be amazing, in the top 5 #1s of the year behind Titanium, STIUTK, Call Me Maybe. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen. SHM sold 46k to get to #4 with Antidote and 57k to get to #5 with Miami 2 Ibiza (their #4 week had 47k). Don't You Worry Child won't have bigger sales than that and I imagine One Direction's second week sales will be around 50-60k (WMYB did 68k in its second week and I can't see their new one being bigger than that) which will be enough to stay at #1.

So, Viva la Vida still going to #1? :kink:

If they performed only Viva La Vida then it would be #1 on iTunes by now but instead they performed loads of different songs so it's the album that went to #1 on iTunes instead.

Leona's "Happy" did over 80k first week back in 2009. I wouldn't be surprised if she manages to get a similar debut week for "Trouble" perhaps even more. I think it'll be 1D vs Leona that week.

If Leona's new song gets as little radio support as Collide, it's not going to sell 80,000 first week unfortunately. Happy was on stations like Capital a lot before its release.

I don't know WHY your wild speculation never pays off. Nevermind, keep trying I think one day it will!.....one day! :D

Not to mention the huge own goal scored by Cowell that week in allowing BEP's to perform on X Factor as well as Lewis!

LOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!

96. Clique - Kanye West, JAY Z & Big Sean

:w00t:

And before anybody asks, Kanye, Jay-Z and Big Sean are fully aware this song will NOT go to #1, and they are not going to be uspet about it.

She Wolf is already #25! :o It should make top 10 on iTunes then.

Funny how they didn't play an upbeat, dance-pop song but chose to play a slow, R&B ballad! :P

EDIT: Actually, didn't they play a remix of Happy? Although that doesn't explain why they avoided Collide.

With Happy, they sometimes played the original version, and sometimes there was a dance remix they played. They did this with other songs at the time aswell, for example Red by Daniel Merriweather.

I still don't know why they wouldn't play Collide. It was on their playlist, but they hardly ever actually played it (they do this with a lot of songs that they "playlist").

Also, they had an Ofcom investigation launched against them a couple of years ago, because of the songs they were playing (e.g. Sex on Fire), when back then they were supposed to play "rhythmic" music. As a result, in mid-2011, they had a "format" change or something, which means a lot of songs they played back then, like Happy, they wouldn't be allowed to play very much now.

The Killers are doing a live special now on BBC Radio 1, hopefully it will have an effect on 'Runaways'

Galaxy used to play the Jason Nevins remix if I remember correctly, the original Capital would of played the radio edit. They may have played a remix on a Fri/Sat night. On another note, the Wideboys have done a remix of Trouble, and Kiss love the Wideboys (hence they got they're own show playing their own remixes) so it maybe in with a shot at getting playlisted at Kiss, even if it is a remix.

This is shocking. However if Amelia goes to No.1 at the Midweek charts and Tulisa misses out on top 10, it will be close to the final result. Our predictions turned upside down.

19 Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait 0.1930 0.1648

The best 2 in the top 20!

Yeah, it was Galaxy I was talking about. I live in Birmingham, so I used to get Galaxy on 102.2, but now it's Capital (so I just call them the same thing) and Happy they used to play the Jason Nevins remix and the original, probably about 50:50 from my recollection (and during day time and weekdays, not just at the weekends). I just use Capital to refer to Galaxy pre-merge, so people on here recognize what I'm talking about.

By the way, if anybody is interested, here's the Ofcom investigation they launched into Capital (formerly Galaxy) in Birmingham. The entire thing is 22 pages, but it's basically Global Radio wanting to change Capital from a rhythmic station to a pop station: http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/binaries/.../Birmingham.pdf This is why they won't play a song like Happy today, but they did play it loads in 2009.
