Great to see I Will Wait hang around, maybe repeak next week with the album version and vinyl release!!

Why is Muse taking off this time round - Survival only went to 40 on release and after the olympics??

Its been getting some decent TV & radio airplay. Not my favourite from them, but nice to see them not completely bombing with this.

Gangnam Style is brilliant - I haven't seen more inspiring lyrics

I'll put odds of 15/1 for it to go #1 next week. ^_^

Those odds would be an absolute bargain at this point :P

Survival got alisted on radio 1 too - so it must be that fans are liking Madness more!

04. Psy - Gangnam Style

25. Tulisa - Live It Up

32. Gerry & The Pacemakers - You'll Never Walk Alone

42. Carly Rae Jepsen & Justin Bieber - Beautiful

49. Biffy Clyro - Stingin Belle

77. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

86. Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man

Gangnam Style has gained over 30% since going top 10 last night, I think it will most likely at least go to #02 on iTunes come Friday

Looking very likely PSY will be #1 next week then, he could even get there this week if he can build up a good lead.
I must be getting old but that Gangham Style song is the worst thing I have possibly ever heard. Is it supposed to be funny?

I don't really think it's that funny, TBH. Makes me sad how it's heading for #1. *prays it doesn't get there*

(sorry Yu)

People sometimes just don't appreciate a good K-Pop song with an awesome dance move and video.

SO close to getting that Top 10. Hopefully PSY will somehow get #1 on UK but I highly doubt it.

Why this pessimism? I highly doubt that, in 2012 Internet-connected world, a song can be number one everywhere (as this probably will) but fail to do so in the UK.

It's gonna happen tbh, it's like there are any big releases to stop it getting a week before One Direction release. I'm SO happy, it may be a novelty hit but for K-Pop to break through finally (even just for this one song) will be great. I'm hoping that other K-Pop acts can catch a break too but I won't hold my breath.

I think that (almost) happened with Love the Way You Lie though. That's a bit different, as it was still a very big hit here.

I think K-pop might be one of those genres that has one MASSIVE hit per year, like how we have a We No Speak Americano every year now. PSY hopefully will get #1 next week but I can't see people taking K-pop seriously, letting only novelty K-pop songs to break through.

"Almost" is key!

Moreover, I would say that this also has the "song out of nowhere" advantage. See Aserejé and Party Rock Anthem.

This is dreadful. Unfortunately, people have said 'RIP British music taste' so many times now, it's lost all meaning.

It never had any meaning to begin with.

Question for Bre or whoever else remembers tis crap - would #37-#1 be the highest climb from within the top 40 ever?

Not quite but very nearly, So What by Pink went 38-1 :P

You show us one, and we'll let you know... :P

We missed out on a couple of other big climbs in the past couple of years. I think Live Your Life climbed 39-2 (blocked from #1 by X Factor charity song), and Gettin' Over You climbed 41-1.

Gettin' Over You climbed 41-1.

That one is debatable, as I think at #41, it was just credited as David Guetta & Chris Willis, and then at #1 it was credited as David Guetta feat. Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO.
