My favourite of the retros is 2007. I can't believe it's 5 years ago, it seems to recent that About You Now, Ayo Technology, Beautiful Girls, 1973, She's So Lovely, etc. were big. That said, I hardly ever heard Ayo Technology on the radio at the time, and on the few occasions I did hear it, most of the song was censored.

I think it's been ages! About You Know was brilliant!

Great to see Tulisa holding on.

Hooray for Tulisa!!! :cheer:

I don't remember hearing Ayo Technology on the radio, but it was all over the video channels (this was back when I actually watched video channels). The Timbaland domination of 2007 was amazing, especially The Way I Are!

Loca People beating Moves Like Jagger is ridiculous even looking back. One year on and I can barely remember how Loca People goes and it did nothing for me at the time. Non no.1.

Loca People was a massive hit though, it had a poor chart run because the record company held the song back all summer when it was massive throughout the med!!

Hoping that Va Va Voom can make it this week, it's gonna be HUGE. It's a dance track, but it's quite different from the generic paint-by-numbers dance of Starships and Pound The Alarm (which I also love).

Yeah, it must've been on MTV a lot really. It's strange for such a big hit to be absent from the radio like that. I wonder if anybody has the radio airplay charts from back then, it'd be interesting to see where Ayo Technology peaked on radio (if it even made the chart in the first place).

They'll probably be out of the top 40 next week though. But I'm surprised they even spent 3 weeks (especially Clique).

Wow! I didn't think this would spend 2 weeks T40 let alone 3 weeks :cheer: It's welcome to stay

Yeah, it must've been on MTV a lot really. It's strange for such a big hit to be absent from the radio like that. I wonder if anybody has the radio airplay charts from back then, it'd be interesting to see where Ayo Technology peaked on radio (if it even made the chart in the first place).

It was def at least blisted on radio 1, the radio airplay chart would have shown it to have done badly as capital had no influence bak then, radio 2 was a massive influence!

Seems Kanye only has one massive hit a year now, hope he isnt becoming irrelevant - his last album was his best but didnt do well commercially!!

Clique will hang around the top 75 as radio is only playing it now - Tulisa will have to go back to the drawing board!! :P

Quite like Clique, although it's not something I would choose to listen to. Big fall for The Killers this week! Especially from their Wednesday midweek position. :(

Clique will hang around the top 75 as radio is only playing it now - Tulisa will have to go back to the drawing board!! :P

lol true.

Tulisa already has her next single planned. It's a ballad apparently, so it might struggle to get top 10 again.

I read somewhere that N-Dubz are getting back together next year because they are all "lonely" as solo artists

Perfect for an xmas time release and a performance on XFactor!!
