'Play Hard' is growing on me (though the sample is still the best part of it and I don't even like the original that much).

Yay for Rudimental climbing a place :D

I think the last time an album track spent 3 weeks in the top 40 after the album release was Lighters by Bad Meets Evil.

Not if you count Emeli Sande's version of Read All About It. Although tbf, that has been promoted, just not released as a single.

Still dont like it, feel sorry that Akon hasnt had much big hits this decade yet, used to be massive then it dried up after Sexy Chick!!

I meant straight-away after the album release. But yeah, that song would count otherwize. It's saving Emeli having to put out another single if this song is just smashing by itself.

Okay I see. :D I think Lighters was released as a single elsewhere before it charted in the UK, so that may have helped it too. So it makes Play Hard's success even more impressive!

Akon tends to be massive in odd years. Like in 2005 he had Lonely, in 2007 (probably his biggest year), he had Smack That, I Wanna Love You, The Sweet Escape, etc, in 2009 he had Beautiful, Just Dance, Sexy Chick, etc. But in 2011 he had nothing.

I remember him saying in an interview that he's made enough money off Lady Gaga to retire now. So he doesn't quite have the same motivation anymore. :( I really miss him, the charts are lacking in criminals atm.

Fingers crossed for 2013.

Black Heart is gorgeous.

L M A O WHAT?!

I remember Royce da 5'9'' saying in an interview that they'd done a song with Bruno Mars on the album. I genuinely thought he was joking!!

L M A O WHAT?!

I mean, money was probably a motivation for him to make music (or at least hits), but now he's got so much money, he's probably not going to bother making songs that will be popular anymore. He has done quite a few songs recently, just they're never going to chart.

My my, 'Live It Up' has an awful chart run. Was down to #57 on iTunes a few hours ago - I can definitely see it slipping 39-64, or something just as drastic.

Thrilled to see 'We Are Young' re-entering the top 40 though, and for 'Black Heart' to climb a place - still hoping they don't follow suit of LMFAO and Rizzle Kicks and follow-up a 'hit' with a flop.

His first album was immense, a real hip hop album (apart from Lonely lol) but everything since then has been poppy and jumping on any bandwagon, wish he would return though, he is a classic noughties artist imo!!

I wonder if all of Taylor's promo singles will chart top 40. I don't really like most o fher songs, but I hope they do, to speed up the charts a bit lol.

My favourite era was Konvicted. Especially his songs with Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani. I didn't like Freedom so much, and both his hit singles sounded almost the same, which is something that always annoys me a lot.

NO, I'm referring to the 'the chart is lacking in criminals atm :(' comment

What is Taylor's obsession with peaking at #30? :P

This song is actually shockingly alright :drama:

Fantastic to see Taylor get top 30 with this! Hope the other promo singles will get top 30 too.
