Maybe a little bit early to start the thread as no one's heard it yet (bar industry insiders obviously) but still.

Adele's 'Skyfall', the theme to the 23rd James Bond film of the same same, is released on Friday (5th) on air/on sale after being premiered on her website at 0:07 on the same day, the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Bond film. It's her first new single since the world-conquering '21' era and written by Adele and Paul Epworth (they also wrote 'Rolling In The Deep' together).

Being as it only has 2 days of sales in its first week, it could really debut anywhere - Rihanna is going to have huge sales so #1 is extremely unlikely but you never know with Adele. I'll predict #4-5 this week and then a climb to #1.

I think it get #4 this week after Rihanna, 1D ad PSY. But maybe #1 next week.
Probably #4/#5 this week but #1 soon, probably next week.
I think #2 this week and #1 next week or in future weeks.

#2 Behind Rihanna on Sunday.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/7d85a11b.png

#1 the week after.

I'll be so p'ed if she blocks Rih.

I don't think it's going to be in the Top 5 with 2 days of sales, Top 10 probably though. I hope it can climb to number one though, and I definitely think it will do,so I'll say #1 for the peak. :D

I want to hear the preview but I have no sound on the computer I'm using atm! :(

#1 this Sunday and #1 will be its peak. Unless they decide to make a higher peak just for Adele.

'Born This Way' got to #3 with just two days sales and there could be even more anticipation for a new Adele track after '21' sold over 4 million albums. Keep it going while the momentum is there - would explain why Rihanna releases a new single/album every autumn. :D

As for One Direction, they might not even sell 100k if PSY does end up outselling them. I can't see PSY increasing in sales again but you can never tell - it's difficult to judge from Kworb updates. It'd be a real turn up for the books if the top 4 all sold over 100k.

#3/4 this week (I predict it will be tight between her and PSY), probably a #2 peak overall (I imagine SHM will beat her next week and the busy Xmas schedule could keep her from the top spot). I hope it somehow misses top 5 this week though, I don't want Ellie knocked down!

True, I did think of that after I posted, but I'm just not too sure at the moment. I'll have to hear it first, as when I first heard Born This Way, I just thought "wow, this is like the most certain number one in recent years!". I definitely hope to be proved wrong though and see it debut at #2/#3.

I think her last era taught us that we should just never under-estimate her so I think this'll be number 1, after a 4-10 entry this week. On the other hand, Born This Way comes to mind.

I shall wait until I hear it.

Hope the James Bond franchise gets AT LEAST one #1!
