Nice progress for SHM so far. They should get to number 2 in no time, it'll be a trek to get to number 1 and they may not be able to do it, but I'm gonna remain optimistic.

I hope this can get top 10 before her x factor performance! But doubt it will until after her performance.

I'm sure it'll be at least #10 before the performance, it's a good 8 hours away. Waiting for the EP to go top 10 too, #11 still right now.

What time do they update the front of iTunes normally? Hopefully she'll have a ad up. :)

the important thing for me is that leona doesnt just peak and then nose dive
"Trouble" to #41. The EP is now top 10 too, so hopefully that will give her a bit more exposure :)

I had a gut feeling Leona would struggle to do well up against the likes of Adele, SHM, Rihanna and PSY but still thought somewhere between 6-10 looked plausible. Having seen 'Trouble' at #41 at the moment on iTunes makes me wonder if this will struggle to maintain a place inside the top 20. The X Factor should provide a boost (well, it helped 'Hurt' go top 10 before it absolutely rocketed down the charts) but the signs aren't looking promising for Leona.

On another note:

102. Run Boy Run - Woodkid

Yay!!! :D (let this actually climb higher up this time round on iTunes)

Hurt is a very different scenario though, as it was a cover, not a lead single to an album & had no video/radio play. Trouble is climbing steadily at the moment, but hopefully the X Factor boost will give her that significant climb, and hopefully it can stay there with increased support from radio/tv. She also has Alan Carr on Friday night which is great promo! On Oct 19th too she is performing on Stand Up For Cancer. Hoping they have even more lined up.

It's now #33 I think it's heading to top 10, it's just where in the top 10, hoping for #5 at the least, but such a competitive week.

No songs really getting a huge boost from X Factor last night, it wasnt a great night for X Factor really.

SHM should be #2 soon then, they need to build up a healthy lead over PSY and hope that Adele starts plummeting sooner rather than later. They're probably coming from less far back than Jessie J did when she stayed ahead of GaGa in "Born This Way"'s second week (ironically both were beaten by Adele!).
SCD beat X Factor on the ratings battle... if Strictly could get the Sunday performers XF gets then Strcitly would win every night. Maybe things will start changing if XF ratings keep falling and more artists start perforing on Strictly.

Hope that Adele can hang on to the number 1 spot throughout this week, she needs that number 1, it's a shame that she only has 1 UK number 1 while she has 3 in the US....

THIS + Who is releasing on Friday when you have such a strong competition in the next week...

She would eat SHM alive if they both were released at the same day!

Yes, I'm sure it's ruining her life right now.

I don't think she needs to put on anymore weight, she's carrying a baby too remember. Besides, I think she'd prefer Swedish Meatballs...

She released it on Friday because it was the 50th anniversary of the Bond films. It may be hard to believe but there are more important things than chart positions.
