Taylor Swift attempting dubstep  This song's not bad, I missed out on hearing 'Red' last week and 'Begin Again' was quite boring so this is her best promo single by default.

I don't get how this has charted so much higher than 'Begin Again' when its iTunes progress was pretty much identical?

'I Knew You Were Trouble.' is having absolutely no impression on me at all. That makes it her 2nd best song that I've heard, behind 'Begin Again'.

It's done a lot better than I expected - I thought it would have a similar chart run to Loca People, but instead it is gradually dropping down the chart.

Yeah, it's been a big success imo, and I can see another couple of weeks in the top 40. We No Speak Americano had a monster chart run out of all these types of songs though.

He should have 'sold out' to a point and not bothered releasing that gorgeous song, because it was never going to set the charts a light. He should have gone with AOTL followed by Monster (as two of the most accessible tracks), and just let people discover the masterpiece of an album after that. The album really is one of my favourites of ALL time.

Hm, I thought "Runaway" had crossover potential - moreso than anything on the album besides the four singles anyway. Probably my second favourite of the decade behind "The Suburbs".

How many more promo singles has Taylor got? It's good that we can expect at least one new entry in the chart each week from her, given the new-entry-dry times we've been in during most of this year and the last part of 2011.

Only one more to come on Tuesday and then it's the album the week after.

What happened to Jason Mraz? I really liked his three singles from the last era but this one feels coma-inducing...

He broke up with his girlfriend lol!! :arrr:

Some Nights is probably now my favourite song of 2012. I can't get over how much i love it! The album is pretty solid too!

It finally died down for me, then i heard it on a night out, went crazy and now it's shot back up again

Thanks. To be fair, that's more than most. I wish more artists would do promo singles, especially UK ones.

I never heard Some Nights in a club before, but We Are Young get EVERYBODY going. The chorus is so anthemic, you just HAVE to sing along and put your hands in the air. I hope it sells a million eventually.

We need them to adopt OA/OS first though, because singles are held back for weeks until the week before the album is released usually. I agree though, it's a brilliant way of getting a feel for the album before it's released.

I can't believe Taylor Swift of all people is having promo tracks chart in the top 40 of the UK. This is after 'Mine' and 'You Belong With Me' (as singles with TV support) only went to #30 and numerous other singles of hers flopped.

lol the 14-7-19 part of the chart run is hilarious, should have went 14-16-19 but the JRoss promo led up an upward rise and quick fall a week later to where it should have been
