I feel like I'm one of the very few people who doesn't know everyone else's entry before the semi final thread is revealed. So many folk seem to run every potential entry past about 10 other posters.

 

 

edit - and I do appreciate that I will know this time around(!) but the point still stands...

I never run my entries past anybody either, maybe why I keep ending up flopping, although it's always been my strategy to keep it to myself. Mainly because I'm paranoid that somebody will steal my entry, as has happened in the past a few times :lol:

You can run yours past me if you want, we have pretty similar tastes. Though I don't know if you trust me anymore :(

You just don't hang in the right CIRCLES. We here are not Lee Wallace as we do not steal other people's entries.

It's not really a lack of trust in anybody, I just prefer to keep my thoughts to myself and let my entries be fresh and brand new to all when the semis open (whether people like them or not is a different matter entirely!). Plus I don't really have the time these days to listen to and feedback on everybody else's multiple potentials so I think it's a little unfair to expect people to spend their time commenting on a batch of mine!

Same :( All the great new music around right now is by the big artists who obviously will be veto'd and very rightly so! I had a look through my usual sources this week, did a YouTube loop and haven't found anything worthy of sending :(

Yup, I've been looking round blogs more than ever, and there's plenty of 'good' songs, but I like to feel like I really love a song if I'm going to send it - and I haven't found anything that's made me like 'YES!' - argh, I'll keep looking, and I don't have to confirm immediately anyway.

I've had the one I'm gonna be sending for over a month now, I was gonna re-use one of my old artists but I decided on this one instead, hopefully stands a better chance of qualifying!

No! I'm in Baltimore. I'm doing alright, we didn't get hit very hard by the storm. Just a lot of trees down and some flooding in our basement.

Oh OK, that's cool. I hope none of your childhood keepsakes/vinyl were damaged. (Off to NY in three weeks, the Brooklyn Flea is going to be DEAD).

It's going to be 23 degrees and perfect blue skies here today, plus my friend that I'm staying with finishes work at 7pm GMT an we have a load of things to do before I head home on Sunday so there's no way I'm here for confirmation.
