October 28, 201213 yr The epic 4 month climb to #1. :lol: My favourites are Meet Me Halfway and Airplanes (only because I LOVED those songs for ages and it was amazing seeing them climb to #1). Meet Me Halfway was another amazing one! Especially after their epic X Factor performance :wub:
October 28, 201213 yr The only other act I can think of who peaked 1-2-3 with their first few releases was Busted in 2002 - 2003. Pleased to see him get number 1 anyway, it's a wicked track and he's deserved a number 1 for a while :)

And sold over 100,000 in a week. I think it might've been the first time it ever happened for a post-album song in the digital age.

The only other songs to do so are "Someone Like You", "Paradise", "Sing" (these two being released [or in "Paradise"'s case, widely available] on the same day as the album) and now "Beneath Your Beautiful".

What's My Name? did aswell. But I think that's it. I remember when I saw Meet Me Halfway's sales that week, I was like " :o ". All those songs needed TV performances to do it I think. It sold 104,487 at #2, behind Matt Cardle.
