JLS need to quit now. They have no choice. It's bad enough they've put out knowingly crap music for years when they should have just quit but ZOMG LEAD SINGLE MISSING TOP 5! Surely they must see now.

That was all sarcastic by the way.

I can't believe Dappy actually held on to #6! :o I hope Yin Yang debuts top 100 this week, it's his best single imo.
But I think it's good, since they need to distinguish themselves from The Wanted, Lawson and One Direction.

It's one of my favourites from them, because of the point you gave - they're not following the same style as all the other same-y boy bands. I prefer them doing a hip-hop/R&B track instead of dance-pop any day.

I'm so pleased for Taylor! It's not my favourite album of hers, but there are some very strong tracks on there, and she does deserve the success to match her status in the UK.
Dappy at #6! Massive congrats to him. Hope Tulisa gets top 10 with her album too, and then N-Dubz storm to the top next year :kink:

Please, God, could you make none of the above happen?

Yay for Lawson! Wonder what they'll choose as the next single? Hope it's 'Gone' or 'Waterfall', they seem like the strongest singles to me thus far.

As for JLS...McFly haven't had a number 1 single since 2007. 10 years later they're still going. And why? Because they work well together. Just because JLS aren't getting number ones all the time anymore doesn't mean they should split. This isn't 2002 for Christ's sake. I can see them going for a long time yet!

Better tune from him then his previous records.

They seemed to start out doing urban-pop, with Beat Again and Everybody in Love, but then came the songs like One Shot, The Club is Alive, Eyes Wide Shut, etc. I guess they could do whatever back then, since they had less competition. But now being a "boy group" isn't enough of a niche, with like 4 of them all being very successful at the same time.

The JLS song sort of reminds me of Craig David's What Ya Flava, both the Americanised change in sound and the fact that it drastically underperformed as a lead single

Plus the fact that they are both laughably SHIT records.

Daniel O'Donnell has never had a top 2 album? :o It'll happen one of these days when he decides to release in a totally dead week. Strange how he went so long without any top 10 albums then suddenly started going top 10 with almost every album.
Plus the fact that they are both laughably SHIT records.

Craig David had some TUNES back in the day. Especially his song with Kano.

For JLS they just need to transition themselves. They're a bit old now for the teen girl market and there have been half a dozen replacements drafted in already. I don't think we can ignore JLS's success. Boybands weren't a regular thing when they started and for better or worse, they brought them back.
OUCH @ Leona

I was expecting it to fall harder tbh. Glad it managed to stay in the top 10. The 2nd single is on the way now though, with the release date (26th of November), lyric video out and the real video to be out soon, the album will hopefully start rising.

If they're going to carry on with urban songs, top 20 is what they can realistically expect for each of their singles. Even the biggest rappers in the world/country struggle to get top 40 hits sometimes. Doesn't mean they have to quit though.

Diamonds is really growing on me now.
