Priebus Chief of Staff.

Everything that's come out so far is not reassuring. In fact it's terrifying.

Surely the cost of deporting 3 million is just unrealistic?

Also, I saw somewhere that Hillary has won the public vote by 1.8 million now it's been counted. Is that true?

The counting won't be finished for weeks, but it's looking likely to be a lead of around 2 million after the remaining 7 million ballots are counted.

The cost is only unrealistic in the sense that any ordinary politician would look at it and judge the cost - both economic and moral - to be too high.

Well, he's down 8 million from the 11 million he promised to deport during the election, so that's progress, I think?!

I can tell this is going to be a recurring pattern over the next four years, but please stop looking for silver linings.

I suppose the one good thing that can come of all this is that he (inevitably) fails to deliver the change he promises and is a one term president. Only 4 years of wishing and hoping to go.
I don't know, 3 million immigrants gone and a wall built feels like a pretty solid opener for your legion of racists that you can actually get stuff done. If he uses the massive infrastructure projects he has planned as an employment booster...well, that's a few things to point to for an audience already well disposed to him.

The immigrant deportation thing is DEFINITELY giving me 1930's teas

I'm surprised the Muslim ban he's proposing isn't being heavily scrutinized by the Supreme Court bc it's one of the most unconstitutional things in his agenda

I imagine the ACLU will be taking legal action against that on day one of his presidency.

You mean the supreme court he's now going to be able to nominate someone who shares his beliefs to?

Steve Bannon is Chief Strategist guys. Start building the bunkers now coz it's just getting worse by the minute.

It's still *just* about fine. Scalia (the justice who died) was pretty hard right, so in practice another hard right judge just keeps things as they've been for the last few years - which has a slightly right of centre judge in Kennedy as the swing vote, but who was nonetheless enough to see the Supreme Court uphold gay marriage and Obamacare. Also enough when he went the wrong way for the Supreme Court to unpick key provisions of the Voter Rights Act and approve Citizens United, but we'll take what we can get for now.

However, the really terrifying bit is that the Supreme Court not being weighted to the right for generations now depends on 83 year old cancer survivor Ruth Bader Ginsburg and 78 year old Stephen Breyer making it to 2020. Scalia died at 79.

Who?

The open white supremacist head of the alt-right news network Breitbart.

That is terrifying :(

However Trump has duped his supporters and filled his WH with insiders and lobbyists. Also he reportedly told Kasich he would be the most powerful Vice ever. This is all gold news. It should just be an extra right wing but run of the mill Repuke government insteaf of somethong too um fascist and world destroying.

The major support for isolationalism and moderate support for advanced defensive militaries and minor opposition to consumerism is quite North Korea.
