I feel that 2016 election will be same as first Bush jr election. Trump will get more people's voices, but Clinton wins. And here starts funny things. She is ill, I`m not sure she can work clearly 4 years. So bankirs and corporations will do all they want. This world already in deep ass. All countries need to come down. Never thought that I will say - Trump is better choice, he is pragmatist.

And again. No one would say this if she were a man.

She can release her medical records, which show generally good health and approval from a doctor, but that is still not good enough.

I CAN'T

I am far from a Clinton supporter but the amount of reach this election is just beyond.

Sometimes I think the world deserves Trump.

It depends how low Clinton goes later this week/this weekend I guess, once we have all the polls covering last weekend in. I'm guessing it'll bring the averages to a near dead heat, but then all it takes is the debate to tip it even further to Trump.

Plus overall vote totals matter a lot less to Trump, she's going to be building up a huge surplus in California and places with high minority turnout but all Trump needs to do is gain a couple of points in terms of the white vote and he sneaks ahead. I still think you're being much too bullish on all this Qass.

Yeah -- there's a good article on this on Fivethirtyeight. Amid all the talk about how America is becoming ever more ethnically diverse, it's often forgotten that the white working-class are still above the national average in a lot of the key swing states, and Obama tended to get a surprisingly strong performance with that demographic in a lot of those states (especially Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Iowa) in 2012. The article estimates that, as a result of that, Trump could lose the popular vote by up to 2% but still win the Electoral College.

it's september 2016 and i'm thinking about which states will have secessionist movements popping off if the unspeakable happens bc i want to take part. i mean the likelihood for success isn't great and it would just delay my inevitable move to canada but i need to try. thank god i have family in toronto

anyway yeah this was my monthly contribution to this thread

edit: also i'll just leave this here bc it embodies my pent-up frustration and anger at every tr*mp supporter

I suppose the other aspect of that is that Clinton could come closer than any Democrat in two generations to winning Texas, stacking up loads more votes, but for no electoral college benefit. That won't be her strategy of course.

Some people on DS saying that Trump will do a Brexit and that all the polls are wrong. I hope he does but just can't see it. I believe that no candidate has ever gone from being several points ahead in early September to losing so Clinton would hake history.
It has happened before, but no candidate leading on Labor Day has lost any of the past 9 elections is the correct line. We just have to hope that American's are smarter and less bigoted than the majority of those who voted for Brexit.

I would ask why you think he'll be anything other than a disaster. However, as he hasn't announced any detailed policies (apart from his wall), that would be a difficult question to answer.

He'd be a breath of fresh air, a President who wasn't in the pocket of the Establishment. Despite having businesses and a fortune he'll be his own man and actually get things done. America and the world needs him.

Get what done? He hasn't given even a hint of what he would do. Why does the world need someone who has insulted most of it?

He bankrupted a ton of businesses, seindled loads of people outta money and we don't evrn know how much money he has and he idn't financing his oen campaign after all and just using free scandal or the little he can muster through campainging. Sooo he's no diffrtrbt in being bought except that he id woefully inadequate, not a suitable presidential candidate and dhoulf br nowhere near the White Houde?

LOL. No. don't think so. I love Adobo. Filipino meat dish for anyone who doesn't know. Dubya loved it so much that he took his Filipino chef with him when he left office.
