Considering how massive they were:

Madonna - Hung Up

Janet Jackson - Together Again

Shania Twain - That Don't Impress Me Much

I presume they have to be massive hits though, not just any flop which you love?

Yeah I forgot to mention that.

Britney - Toxic 360,000+ is just to weak for such a signature song.

And Beyonce's Crazy in Love which has sold a similar amount despite being just as or even more popular!

ISTM some enormous hits which were released in unfortunate years should be on this list the most (ie. c. 2005). Umbrella by Rihanna is a biggie for me. 10 weeks at number 1 and a year in the top 75 shouldn't equal over 200k short of this (not that she's short on mllion sellers).

Mariah Carey's We Belong Together is another for me. For the time it was everywhere and in the chart for ages and yet only sold around 200k? Many non-top 10s do much more than that now

I think an interesting counter list would be those million sellers which don't "deserve" the status - i'm thinking songs here which were big hits at a point but don't have longevity and are only benefiting from generally high sales periods - also those that didn't achieve it on initial run but trickle over finally after years of trickle selling and talent show rehashes. Personally i prefer songs which sprint over the line during their initial chart run!

Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life. I know its' sales happened incredibly quick but it's still so close to the million mark!

Any Michael Jackson single. The fact that Earth Song is his only million seller surprises me greatly. Anyone know how close he is to getting a second million seller?

Billie Jean has sold an estimated 942,000 copies, thanks to Andy on Haven.

Really my list would be endless but first in my head (excluding songs that weren't a hit at all like for example Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood, my 2nd favourite song of all time):

Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You

Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights

Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (it's very very nearly there though and will be there soon!)

Christina Aguilera - Hurt

Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes

Beyonce - Listen

The Saturdays - Higher

Madonna - Hung Up

Britney Spears - Everytime

Leona Lewis - Run

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

ATB - 9PM (Till I Come)

Gina G - Ooh Aah...Just A Little Bit

Take That - Rule The World

N-Trance - Set You Free

Shakira feat Wyclef Jean - Hips Don't Lie

DJ Jurgen presents Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone

Ed Sheeran - The A Team

Jennifer Lopez feat Pitbull - On The Floor

All platinum sellers (600k+) that sadly fell short of a million.

Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There. So close, yet so far! It would have been fantastic if they'd achieved three million selling singles in a row.

Why, just how many copies of it did he buy?

Bad Romance is so close. Hope it can be done fairly soon!

Agree with MJ, particularly Man in the Mirror.

Toxic' sales are shocking for such an iconic song :o

I'd say 'Rhythm Is A Dancer' by Snap! purely because it seemed like the most defining single of 1992 yet 'I Will Always Love You' came along in the November and sold buckletloads in a short period to end up as the years biggest seller.

A-Ha 'Take On Me' - what are the total sales for this track? It was kept off the top by the million selling 'The Power Of Love' by Jennifer Rush but this equally seemed massively popular at the time, and has become more of a classic 80s anthem than 'TPOL' could ever dream of - or at least that's how it seems these days.

Also agree with 'Toxic', 'Crazy In Love' and 'Bad Romance' although the latter will certainly trickle sell its way past 1 million soon.

This. She is just shy of 900K is she not? Still very impressive, but I want it to pass a million.
