I heard its release date is 25th November. I don't think it will appear on the iTunes chart any time soon, most people don't even know it's the next single.

Very true. Cant see it doing anything till December personally, and how much it will do i'm not sure. CIN performance this Friday night though so may be the start of the promo campaign for this single, then followed by the video and hopefully radio support. Isnt playlisted on any major radio stations yet as far as i'm aware.

Can we not have CIN this week :heehee:

Yay for Robbie re-overtaking Gabrielle. Hope he can hold onto the top 5 officially this week, obviously it's the sales that matter and it'll have strong sales wherever it is but a 1-6 drop just won't look good (not that 1-5 is a great deal better but at least it wouldn't put him as the tied biggest faller from #1 of the year :P)

First Christmas song of the year in the top 100 (excluding 'The Power Of Love'):

 92. All I Want for Christmas Is You (Original Version) - Mariah Carey

This upcoming week was the week last year that Mariah entered the top 100, at #100, so pretty much on the same course although unless she gets a 59p reduction again I doubt this will come close to replicating its #11 peak of 2011. Possibly top 20 again although it only got to #22 in 2010.

Neither of The Pogues' versions are top 200 yet (and with LPB's live feed down I annoyingly can't check where they are) but that's nothing to worry about. On the corresponding week last year they didn't make the top 100 but they re-entered at #47 the following week, so expect a big surge for them in a few days maybe. They did better in 2011 than in 2010 despite not getting a price reduction so hopefully they should manage to at least go top 20 again this year.

The Pogues could be in the Top 200 combined. There's that campaign for it to reach Christmas Number One, so it could reach the Top 10 again.

Willly Moon  #56

He should be a lot higher than that.

Is it really true that Girls Aloud are releasing their song on Friday instead of Sunday? if it is then they will easily get to #1 on iTunes on Friday/Saturday before Olly Murs knocks them off on Sunday.

I don't think it's true, on their website you can pre-order the physical format of Something New and it says release date is 19th November. Also on iTunes the release date is the 18th.

Isn't there a campaign every year for the Pogues to get to Number 1 :P . I agree it will do well again this year!

 11. Don't You Worry Child (Radio Edit) [feat. John Martin] - Swedish House Mafia

 12. Skyfall - ADELE

BOO.

Kendrick Lamar's 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' is back in the top 100 (currently #100 but was higher a while ago) - super super late but I absolutely love this now, would love to see it become a proper hit but that's definitely not happening.

also identical bars with McFly... SHM could go back into the top 10? :o :cheer:

Yeh and both Little Mix and One Direction are performing.

Hopefully they're shameless enough to sing their new singles, and not previous hits.

Both!

No wonder 'Fix You' is holding up so well, forgot it was still 59p :P 'The Scientist' joining it in the top 100 (and 'Use Somebody')

ARGH at 'I'm Yours', guess 'Set Fire To The Rain' will never overtake it as the highest selling non-top 10 hit at this rate :(

'Gotta Get Thru This' is not a song I expected to ever see back in the chart :D

This makes me think, how many 140 songs have got to #1?

I can think of a few off the top of my head, Gotta Get Thru This, Babycakes, What's It Gonna Be, Promises, Louder, Stay Awake, 21 Seconds. There must be lots of others though.

What's It Gonna Be only got to #2 :P
What is 140?
What is 140?

BPM (Beats per Minute), I'm guessing? Is 'On the Floor' not another 140, or is it a bit under?

Two interesting facts I've learnt today:

1. Example is performing on CIN this Friday. Hopefully 'Close Enemies', though he may pick a more radio/tv-friendly track (i.e. 'Say Nothing').

2. Emeli Sande has/is filming a music video for 'Clown'; possibly hinting at it being the sixth single from 'Our Version of Events'.

You mention Louder and not Hot Right Now?

140 is a number of beats per minute in a song.
