I'm certainly not complaining, but I am mystified as to why Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years' is back up to #22?

I know it can't be XF, as it was already climbing yesterday morning, and it seems to big an effect for even a 59p boost - all I can guess is that it's in an advert?

One of the groups sang it in the US X Factor which got it back into the chart. I think it was also in Strictly Come Dancing last night which has helped it rise a little further. :D

Kimberley Walsh danced to it on Strictly, but I think someone performed it on US X Factor too.

EDIT: Must read page 4 in future! :P

Bruno Mars top 5 already :o

Ain't LM performing on CIN at the end of the week, that could be that much needed boost they need.

top 10 could have a massive clearout if all 5 make it... I don't think Example will though

Come on Little Mix!

Don't flop on your arses. :(

Just seen Electro Boy's update, things are looking good. :D

So many tracks potentially heading for the top 10 - Bruno Mars, Little Mix, McFly, Stooshe, Example, The Lumineers and now Gabriella Alpin; 7!

In my opinion, I think it'll be Bruno Mars and Little Mix certain for a top 5 placing each. Stooshe and Example are possible top 10 entries, but I think both will peak somewhere inside the top 20 instead. As for McFly, they do usually fare quite well to be fair to them, but it'll do a One Direction/Lawson/JLS/The Wanted and peak before a swift exit from the top 40.

None from last week will have remained in top 10 :drama:

Don't forget the potential top 10 hit that is "Little Things" when the album is released tonight.

I do think that people are underestimating McFly. In the last year they have had huge exposure from things like Strictly and I'm a Celebrity. By obviously won't go to number 1 but I imagine it will be a sizeable hit

'Numb' is the best release this week but it probably won't even go top 100. :(

Hope that Bruno goes to #1 but don't mind if Little Mix do. Both pretty good songs but Bruno's is much more original.

Not to mention trying to work out how much a #1500 on iTunes would be selling - maybe 250-300/wk as an initial guess.

I've now had time to make some better calculations, and I reckon even a #1500 on iTunes could be selling ~350/wk!

Who's on the X factor tonight except LM?

Ed Sheeran with 'Give Me Love'

McFly doing great, better than I expected. :D Stooshe doing alright so far as well, I thought that might have bombed pretty bad.

Ooh I see "Love Is Easy" is trending on Twitter, get that promo McFly :P

Thanks for that.

I'd imagine 95% of the effect would be from SCD, as I suspect the number of Brits who watch US XF would be very small in proportion to the SCD audience!

I do like the new Bruno Mars single, its got a touch of the 80s feel to it, aka The Police :D

Still think Little Mix will be easily #1, they will be top 3/5 before X factor performance and then shoot to #1 after it.

Let's hope StooShe don't get nearer the top 40, its a bad cover of a classic track, how dare they cover Waterfalls by TLC :(
