Ella's out? HA! I'm so glad I stopped watching after Carolynne went out in week 1! This has to be the most dire series ever! I dont think there's ever been such a poor final five!

 

I'd love Christopher to win just because it'd be absolutely hilarious!

I want Union J to get to the final. So bad Just so that they have an excuse to get Leona on to promote 'Lovebird' a duet with them and her doing 'Bleeding Love' would be amazing. But this is the X Factor. They'll be lucky to survive next week... Hopefully now the boyband votes won't be split, they're actually getting support...

Next week's theme ABBA and Motown week, each act will sing two tracks, one from each theme

YES! My theory is that the vote splitting thing actually DOES exist, and every District 3 fan is now going crazy for Union J, and they'll get into the final! I'm not sure whether i'm being delusional, or it's actually a possibility! :o Probably delusional

Chris really is just Steve Brookstein all over again! It'll be so funny if he wins though, I wonder if he'll actually get anywhere near the top of the charts? I really can't see it (even though he will be a winner - I get the feeling most of his "votes" are just from anti XF fans) Hopefully this is the end of the XF and we get a new, successful show. ITV should get hold of 'The Voice'. BBC really aren't the right company to host a talent show like that :(

I honestly just don't have a clue where Chris's votes are coming from. Everyone I know hates him and even people who are Nans etc. don't like him. I just don't know why he is still in. Such a shame to see Ella go. She was my favourite and the best. Has to be Union J, James or Rylan who win for me know, well Rylan just for the laughs.

I feel depressed reading things like this. It's honestly the works series hands down, and I haven't even seen series 1 or 4 to say that.

 

Surely if Chris did win, he wouldn't go to number one. I mean who would buy it? Kids certainly won't.

All the Daily Star stories are pretty much spot on. It's clear their mole knows their stuff. I'd imagine Jahmene will win eventually. Like I say, if the producers are trying to sabotage Christopher they're doing a f***ing atrocious job of it.

I think it's hard to tell how much impact the split vote would have. They would have got the rebound vote this week.. We'll see what happens next weekend

Yes I am sure ITV are complaining about getting nearly 9million viewers on saturdays and sundays in primetime.

The ratings have nothing to do with it. As Martyn said, ITV are loving the exposure they're getting from this and IAC. If they cancel it, it will be because of its credibility, and not wanting to run the series again throughout these months.

 

My theory is that this hot mess of a series, will just reignite a spark for the next series, which will have a whole new mix-up in terms of judges/structure etc. A MUCH needed one imo.

CANCEL the series? mwah, some of you have no idea. Getting between 9-11m viewers on a weekend, do you guys know how much revenue this brings ITV? There is no way the show will be axed. I seem to remember Britain's Got Talent been slayed by everyone, then it upped it's game, destroyed The Voice and got massive ratings again. If anything this series (and the last) just proves how much of an extra ratings boost Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell were. There will be a massive shake-up next series, and Simon Cowell will probably come back on to the panel. He's trying to flog a dead horse with the X Factor in the USA and I think he realises how much the UK show needs him...

There'll probably be a bottom 2 to give more chance of Christopher going. So he'll be gone whether he's 4th or 5th, whereas if it was a straight elimination Chris could get away with 4th.

 

William Hill are taking bets on which acts will be bottom 2 as well.
