CHAMPION *_*

Pretty solid album. Outside the singles, Ocean, Kill a Man, Raise Up and obviously Champion are highlights.

It IS a solid album, and Champion and Ocean are decent but nothing at all on here is as good as the 5 or 6 highlights from her debut. I'm just not really into this brassy soul sound she keeps peddling...to me it's just a sonic continuation of Young Foolish Happy (but with less duds) and nobody really needed that. Not that I think anything she'd done would have been a success, her career's been in terminal decline for a while...
I went to Asdas to buy the album today, and it WASN'T there? :nocheer:

The CD chart in Asda doesn't seem to be updated. Hopefully once it updates I'm guessing Pixie Lott will be there :)

She's on BBC Breakfast tommorow

Same thing happened last year when I went there for KT Tunstall's latest album.

THAT is how irrelevant Pixie has become.

Did anyone else see "Pixie Lott" trending on Twitter and think she'd been dropped?

I was thinking people are finally recognizing the brilliance of the album :kink:

The album had a bbig boost on amazon and on itunes, most likely due to BBC Breakfast

Just doing the Pixie rate and this album is her best I think. Every song except for Nasty is consitently brilliant. Shame it will be her lowest charting album :(

I completely agree. 'Nasty' is not even closest to the best on the album. I'm sure the campaign would have been different had she release 'Lay Me Down', followed by 'Champion' followed by 'Raise Up'. It's such a shame that 'Champion' or 'Raise Up' wont be released.

The album has dropped to #18 on iTunes. :(

I think that'll probably actually happen later in the year.

Shes the one at the back :kink:

I don't think she would've been any more successful. Radios aren't touching her, well except Free Radio which keeps playing "All About Tonight", and she's not a cool/current pop star anymore to gain casual buys. "Nasty" only did as well as it did because she promoted so much and it was available for pre-order for ages.

It would have been interesting to know had Radio 1 supported 'Lay Me Down' had it been the opening single. Capital supported 'Nasty' and I'm sure they would have supported 'Lay Me Down'. The poor chart performances and already poor airplay for a song that's dates cost her. I can't believe she choose that as the lead single though.

At least she's flopping doing a sound that she herself loves rather than selling out for album sales. I want another 'All About Tonight' type of song and that's something this album lacks.

I've seen some pretty terrible reviews about this album which seem very unfair. It sounds a great album but not received my copy yet as ordered the Japanese bonus track album.
Ooh! On the bright side, it could outpeak Cher by one or two positions with it doing better on amazon and the multiple signing sessions at HMV.
I'll be very shocked if this manages to outpeak YFH. :o
Just noticed she's playing at Manchester Pride this year, I'll be there so may have to catch her set!
