July 8, 201411 yr 'Champion' definitely does sound like the highlight, looking forward to hearing it in full very much!
July 8, 201411 yr To be fair, as an album it does sound a hell of a lot better than the two previous atrocities. Some of the ballads towards the end are ultra whiny though.
July 8, 201411 yr To be fair, as an album it does sound a hell of a lot better than the two previous atrocities. Some of the ballads towards the end are ultra whiny though. There was nothing wrong with the first album - it included some really decent tracks and was far from being an atrocity. The second album was a bit patchy. I do like the sound of the new album though. Edited July 8, 201411 yr by slowdown73
July 20, 201411 yr Japanese edition of the album includes 4 bonus tracks; 13. Your love keeps lifting me higher and higher 14. Cry baby 15. The girl you left behind 16. Nasty featuring The Vamps Source: Universal Music Japan
July 21, 201411 yr 'Lay Me Down' is 563 on POP iTunes :(. I can't believe that 'Lay Me Down' is going to miss the top 40. It's such an amazing track. The Album is also #948 on iTunes.

July 21, 201411 yr surely Pixie has enough of a fanbase to reach the top 40 (regardless of how the badly the pre-order has done)?
July 21, 201411 yr surely Pixie has enough of a fanbase to reach the top 40 (regardless of how the badly the pre-order has done)? Exactly! Surely if Nasty could go #9, this can certainly go top 40
July 27, 201411 yr Hopefully she has a lot of promotion this week to scrape top 40 and help the album Go top 100 on pre-orders!
July 28, 201411 yr Already dropping away :( Guessing that most fans are holding out for the album rather than spend money on the single. Just want a top 10 album to make the era not look like much of flop that it is On the bright side, the album is slaying on amazon pre-orders :P #287 Itunes - #951 She is filming something with SBTV, maybe an advert? https://twitter.com/PixieLott/status/493831066118270976 Edited July 28, 201411 yr by Let Go For 2nite
July 29, 201411 yr I'm going to Pixies album signing next Thursday in Glasgow *.*. If I get a photo with her I think I will die.
July 30, 201411 yr Awaiting the impending 'delay'. (Surely there has to be one with how abysmally 'Lay Me Down' is performing...)
July 30, 201411 yr They can't cancel a release the week before it! Even Stooshe weren't that late when they cancelled.
July 30, 201411 yr They can't cancel a release the week before it! Even Stooshe weren't that late when they cancelled. That's what I was thinking. But then I seem to remember Amelia Lily's album had been pressed and ready for release (and she had signed hundreds of copies) only for the label to cancel it. I highly doubt Pixie's will be pulled at this stage though. What a mess. I can't say I didn't see a flop coming - I thought at the time that 'Nasty' and everything about its marketing and promotional campaign was possibly the worst attempt at a comeback/lead single I'd ever seen. However, considering that her fanbase ensured it got a decent peak, I thought 'Lay Me Down' being far superior would at least go top 40 and garner some interest in the album. At this rate it's looking like it will do worse than Cher Lloyd's album :drama:.
July 30, 201411 yr I think Amelia Lily's was pulled because Party Over barely made top 40 (unsurprisingly, awful song) but I'm sure it was due for release after another single, not the week after! They definitely can't cancel at this stage, I just think the album will be like #28 at best which even when it's not an awful sales climate really isn't great :/ I don't get how Nasty managed top 10 but Lay Me Down is bombing so much! I mean Lay Me Down is hardly a modern classic or anything but Nasty had almost universally negative reception, clearly it was so bad that the fanbase just disintegrated, although Nasty had a bit of airplay I guess...
July 30, 201411 yr There wouldn't be any point in delaying/cancelling. The damage has been done and it's highly unlikely she'll get another hit single. They may as well generate a bit of extra money through releasing the album.
