I love it that when Kirsty holds a family get together it's semi-successful (I know Jack acted stupidly odd but I ignore him) and yet it always falls completely apart when Tanya does. I need Jack and Tanya gone now.

Agreed that Tanya needs to go. Getting sick of her. :puke2: Here, there... Interrupting Max, Kirsty, Lauren and Abi. The proper Brannings.

Tonight's episode was okay. Loved the conversation about the family between the coloured mum and son (don't know their names, yet :P ). Rather comical. The rest was a tad boring. Nice to see Mr Scott "Sex on legs" Maslen got rid of Sharon, though. :D

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure it's acceptable to call people "coloured". I might be wrong, but to me that seems offensive/borderline racism...

Just in case if no one has seen this before

And that video reminded me of this video  :

Haha, me too! :D

Jack's breakdown scene at the end was terrible - the whole episode highlighted how bad an actor Scott Maslen is.

What exactly can we call them, then?

I'm certainly not racist, but being told it's offensive to call them "coloured", "black", "n*****" (the latter of which I can understand, definitely) just begs me to question what we can call them...

Apparently "black" is the most politically correct term to use now. I genuinely thought it was coloured too, but after a lengthy debate at Uni i was proven wrong. The terms do keep on changing though so it's an easy mistake to make.

Yeah, the term "coloured" isn't PC but "black" is. Tbh, I don't see anything wrong with calling them anything (aside the n word, of course) as long as the context is appropriate. I cannot stand people who pounce on you screaming "RACIST" if you use the wrong term, because you are evidently not (if anything, they are).

But this is for another discussion, hehe. :P

What is hilarious is that she swans in 'I'm not taking you back again, Max' followed by a 'OMG that BITCH Kirsty is still here with my man' and then a 'I can't BELIEVE I'm not invited to a BRANNING get together despite the fact my surname isn't BRANNING and I've REJECTED that man'. Absolite walking hypocrite which is a shame cos I used to quite like her.

You can call them "Dexter" and "Ava"

Exactly. It's not hard to do a 1-minute Google search.

Yeah, I used to like her too, but now she's just annoying. Hope she leaves for good soon.

Nothing ever happens in this soap. Surely with Max bed-hopping with Tanya and Kirsty he must have chalymedia or AIDS?

Is anything good going to happen or shall I leave it until December?

He doesn't look too different to the old Bobby actually, so I'd agree that it's a good swap...unlike their previous replacement for Ben Mitchell! :P

I always thought the old Bobby was a really good little actor. Total dead ringer for Ian too. No opinion on the new one yet.

I didn't bother with this last night. Was going to catch up but I'm not interested in any stories at the moment. I may tune back in some months down the line but, like with Waterloo Road, I don't have time to watch something I'm not really invested in anymore. Honestly getting more enjoyment out of Neighbours and Pobol Y Cwm (Welsh soap)
