I've just seen this.

She got better. :kink:

The old Ellie made some beautiful songs, her new songs are just boring :P

Last Christmas is THE WORST Christmas song EVER!!! :puke2:

Given your previous comment about Stacey Solomon's version of Driving Home For Chrismas being better than Chris Rea I doubt George Michael will be that bothered..... :teresa:

Figure 8 =

Already one of my favourite songs of the year and I've known it for less than a month.

i guess GA are at 41 or close enough!
Agreed, I went for a toilet break during it.

Hall of Fame isn't much better. I'd rather it swapped its run and sales with Blow Me (One Last Kiss).

I do agree that I'd rather Blow Me had the Hall of Fame chart run and sales. It's such a great song.

First hearing 'Figure 8', doesn't sound too bad actually. Prefer Anything Could Happen though!

Oh yikes!! Figure 8 should be at least 30 places higher. I can't believe it's flopping, or work out why... A strong catchy song that people seem to like. Maybe the airplay isn't enough? :(

Either way it's one of my songs of the year and a stand out on quite a good album! I hope it continues to climb... It's too good for a #33 peak.

See, I would say the exact opposite. She's got a lot better since Your Song in my opinion. :D

Urgh! Joe! :o Too much information. :(

Criminally low for 'Figure 8'. It MUST climb higher.

In fact it climbed because of the 59p promotion on iTunes. Without that it wouldn't even be top 40? :o

I say it every week, but I would never have expected "Hall of Fame" to hang around for so long. Here's hoping the 'gift card' effect can give it a nice boost.

Ellie Goulding's seventh top 40 hit now, out of nine efforts. Her UK discography is still odd to look at compared to her international one - "Lights" could've/should've been a huge hit, had they re-promoted it in the gap between 'Lights' and 'Halcyon'.

I loved Bright Lights, it's better than Halcyon IMO but that's not to say the latter isn't amazing still.
Figure 8 is definitely a highlight from the album and a lot better than Anything Can Happen, although I somehow fear its gonna get lost in the giftcard rush :(
