I've never heard it out, but it's definitely a good song to dance to (if you're talking about One More Night). It's got that carribbean/reggae sort of sound

Yeah, it does sort of have a reggae sound to it. Never thought of it like that. :P Can't see myself dancing to it though!

Musically I find Xtina and Britney a lot better; they've actually experimented with different genres without the shadow of their label. What is so different about P!NK's last 4 albums? But I guess it's working for her.

I think a lot of people would argue with you on her. But P!nk is more of a rock singer than pop, that's why she never gone dance or dance-pop.

BTW I think her first album was different, more RnB influenced while the later albums were more rock influenced. But she experimented also with William Orbit some different sounds (Feel Good Time).

Ke$ha top 10 again next week?

I've always said that it matters not whether an artist experiments-as long as it still sounds good. Pink's sound may not have changed, but it's what she loves doing and her fans love listening to. The sound is unique to her so it doesn't grate as much as some other singers who just follow the trends.

Ke$ha will never top Tik Tok and Take It Off... Die Young is too generic to like unfortunately.
Considering Die Young was held back for quite a while, it's not doing bad hanging around. It was top 10 in iTunes again earlier when I checked. Its run suggests it didn't get much airplay before release, and since it's charted more people have heard it and connected with it, which explains why it is sticking around and not falling like a stone. Helped by the giftcards as well I should imagine. It's a really fun (but generic) tune!!

I agree with you regarding Pink's formulaic music. That does annoy me slightly. But she has subtly progressed her sound. 'Funhouse', 'I'm Not Dead' and from what I've heard of her latest album all have noticable differences.

Britney's "golden years" were from 2001 to 2004 imo. From 'I'm A Slave 4 U' to 'Everytime', her sound was progressive. None of it was ever AMAZING though.

Xtina, on the other hand, was on top around 2002 and 2003. She didn't put a foot wrong until waiting 4 years to release a completely different sound that didn't completely work.

Britney ruled 1999-2001, Xtina ruled 2002-2004 and then Pink took over from them in 2006 imo.

13 weeks top 40 <_<

It's not a "put your hand in the air and jump up and down" sort of song, it's more of a "bend your knees, wave your arms around and move your hips" kind of song.

That's because it didn't bar a few minor plays on Capital and less known TV channels.

It definitely works for her. I mean I thought Blow Me was a previous single of hers. With Xtina I don't think Bionic worked as an album but Blackout for Britney did.

Oh Bionic was so bad imo and Lotus so much better still it flopped bigger than Bionic :(

Xtina's best was the 2006 era, imo!

Britney was by far I'm A Slave 4 U to Everytime (especially Toxic).

I agree with Xtina. B2B was a very poor performing album compared to Stripped. And the less about Bionic the better. Have you heard Britney's album Blackout? It's critically acclaimed and was inducted into the hall of fame. It's a shame the times surrounding it didn't allow the album to do as well as it should have. :)

Time to fall asleep then...

(sorry Joseph ;) )

Blackout is a really good album, it has a high rating amongst Britney fans as far as I know. I think it wasn't massively promoted that's why it didn't perform well, in fact it is the only album that wasn't number 1 on the Billboard chart?
