January 2, 201313 yr Looks likely the Pet Shop Boys will chart low top 100 now going by that midweek position. The album chart has thrown a few surprises, didnt expect Calvin back at number 1 but its a good album so im happy with that, didnt expect such a big drop for Olly but im confident he will recover, maybe people are buying incase u didnt know instead as its cheaper plus its climbing fast, im sure this will become a million seller by the end of 2013. Im looking forward to seeing how big a drop Michael Buble andd Rod Stewart will drop this week, i wonder will either manage to stay in the top 75?? Over in the singles, 3k isnt much but i am hoping James can hold the number 1 spot, Olly Murs troublemaker is hanging on nicely, should be another platinum selling single for him. Now i just hope Kylie hasnt completely plummeted this week, but looks like we will have to wait until sunday to see.

January 2, 201313 yr Some of the iTunes/HMV sale albums not having anywhere near the impact I thought they would especially Frank Ocean - It seems that even though it's finished Top 5 in all the 'Album Of The Year' polls and is available for as little as £3 is still not tempting people to buy. Not that surprised to see Calvin at #1 - It's £5.99 on iTunes and the CD is selling for around £7 - Also iTunes are offering me the album for just over 2 quid as iv bought some of the singles so that must be really helping digital sales too. I think James will get the #1 single helped by physical sales - Even if the physical sales are low i think it will be enough to keep him in the lead but I still think it will be very close with hopefully Will & Brit climbing to #1 the following week.

January 4, 201313 yr Looks like both of the potentially really good first 2013 #1s (will.i.am/Calvin) might lose out to last week's respective crap #1s :( I suppose that still leaves open the possibility of the first NEW #1s of 2013 being decent, although Calvin wouldn't be that anyway :P Ed Sheeran overtaking Rita Ora since Wednesday woo!
